Add a little extra flair to your Lego party by disguising your salt and pepper shakers into two stacked Legos. This simple printable box will add a double stacked Lego brick to your table and a lot of fun to dinner tonight.
Just a few more projects to go before I show you the entire Lego family dinner party. I am excited to show you all the fun we had with just a little bit of "boo-ya". My kids absolutely love the themed dinner parties we have and it's such a great way to show them a little bit of love by going the extra mile.
Since I didn't want to leave even the smallest detail left out, I decided to make our Salt and Pepper shakers into a double stacked Lego box. Didn't it turn out cute? And easy! They look like two Lego bricks stacked on top of each other with the shakers as the Lego circles on top.
Because of the size of salt and pepper shakers and the size of card stock, there are two different templates to this Lego printable box. The base has taller sides to look like the Lego brick on the bottom of a double stack of bricks. The top template has shorter sides and holes in the top to look like a regular Lego with the locking circles on top.
Print out both templates on to colored card stock. You can use any color that Legos come in and will fit your color scheme.
The templates have red boxes and black boxes. The red boxes indicate the lines that you should score your template to allow it to fold easily. The black boxes should be cut around so the box can be formed.
I used salt and pepper shakers that I purchased at Dollar Tree. The base of these shakers are larger than the top, so since I wanted the shakers to be able to be placed in and out of the Lego box, I made the circles 1 3/4 inches. If your shakers are larger or smaller, you may need to adjust the size of the cut outs.
I also wanted the shakers to look like the circles on top of a Lego, so I took some scrap paper from the card stock and wrapped it around the top of the salt and pepper shakers. That way, when they are in the box, the color is noticible (but you can still tell which is salt and which is pepper.)
Here are the templates so you can add a little Lego fun to your next dinner table. The kids will LOVE it!
