I don't know about yours, but in my house, the 4th of July holiday is always "Go, Go, Go."

We end up getting up early in the morning and running to get good spots at the city's 4th of July parade, then we drop by the morning flag ceremony, and run out to the park for the neighborhood's festivities.  Then it's followed by a friendly BBQ with family and friends and a night of watching fireworks and stars.

Busy. Busy.

So when we get going in the morning, I like to know that my family has a good breakfast to get them through the snacks and activities of the day.

Thus was the beginnings of our Patriotic breakfast party perfect for the 4th of July.

When planning the party, I knew it had to be something that was really easy or could be set up the night before.  So of course, I did both.

I set this dinner table the night before and prepared as much of the food as possible.  That way, it was a simple enough breakfast that I wasn't regretting it that morning.

Patriotic Table Runner

I started by setting the table with a white tablecloth.  Down the center of the table, I added a 12 inch runner of sparkles that I found in the patriotic party section of Walmart.  They had two sizes when I found it and I went with the smaller 12 inch width.  I just rolled the fabric out and cut the length to fit my table.

Patriotic Table Setting for an Easy 4th of July Patriotic Breakfast Party

Each place setting had a round, navy blue placemat that I found at Big Lots.  The white plates are from Walmart and I use them quite often in my decorating.  It's great to have basic pieces that you can mix and match if you plan to have easy, fun family dinners often.

The red salad plats were from Big Lots many years ago and match perfectly with the red silverware set from Walmart.

Uncle Sam hat Plastic Canvas Pattern as a Napkin Holder at our 4th of July Patriotic Breakfast Party

In the center of each place setting, I designed and created an Uncle Sam hat out of plastic canvas.  You can find the pattern in our party shop here.
.
I folded a white fabric napkin accordion style and then folded it in half and placed it down inside the hat cavity.  I LOVE how it turned out and can't wait to find other uses for these hats.

Yummy Red, White, and Blue Fruit Salad Kids will Love

In the center of the table, I placed my glass trifle bowl from Bed, bath, and Beyond.  I wanted a red, white, and blue fruit salad that the kids could snack on while I finished off the food in the morning so we went with watermelon, bananas, and a few blackberries.

I cut the watermelon into cubes the night before and then added the bananas and blackberries as I put the food out on the table.  It was really quick and easy and made a nice colorful, fruity addition to our patriotic breakfast table.

Red, White, and Blue Plastic Canvas Table Set

To carry on the red, white, and blue plastic canvas set, I added the Flag Napkin Holder that I shared the pattern to here.  Then I created matching Salt and Pepper covers.  I think I may sneak in and add the beads to the salt and pepper shakers like I did the flag napkin cover.  I really like how that turned out and it gives it a little extra pizazz.

Red, White, and Blue Mason Jars

On the other end of the table, I added red, white, and blue mason jars.  In the red jar, I cut up strawberries the night before and added a little bit of sugar to the jar to create a Strawberry sauce.  The white jar has cool whip in it.  With the strawberries and cool whip, you can make delicious strawberry waffles that taste just like strawberry shortcake.  It's my favorite way to eat waffles!

In the last jar, we added our homemade maple syrup for those who wanted a little more tradition to their patriotic breakfast.  I wanted to keep the color scheme, so I sewed up another plastic canvas pattern and placed it around the jar.  When I added the hot syrup to the jar, the Patriotic mason jar cover created a beautiful look and kept the jar cool enough to pour the syrup out.

4th of July Patriotic Breakfast Tablescape

In the center of the table next to the Patriotic salad, I placed 2 Dollar Tree serving platters.  On the morning of the breakfast, we added sausage and bacon to one of the platters and the pancakes and waffles to the other.

Red, White, and Blue Pancakes for an Easy 4th of July Breakfast

The night before the breakfast, we made up our pancake mix and placed them into mason jars.  The kids had a lot of fun adding food dye to the pancake mix so we ended up with red and blue pancakes.  I did create a larger bowl of pancakes and left it regular colored, so we ended up with red, white, and blue pancakes and waffles at our party.

Fun Patriotic Pancakes at a 4th of July Breakfast

That morning was quick and easy since everything was already done.  We added the fruit salad to the table and plugged in the griddle.  Quickly made up our red, white, and blue pancakes and waffles, and ate a yummy breakfast before running out the door to the parade.

The kids loved it and I loved that it started our morning off with a good breakfast that really got us in the red, white, and blue mood for the day.

Put together a fun and EASY Patriotic breakfast to start the busy 4th of July holiday. Your kids will love it and you will love how easy and patriotic it is. Such a great way to start the 4th of July festivities. #4thofJuly #PatrioticBreakfast #DIYPartyMomblog #familybreakfast #familyparty

  3. Wow! I love this idea! This is actually doable, too, not all the exact same decorations because you have some unique stuff, but the idea is very usable. Love it.
