Make fun and super easy Snowman lights for your Snowman party using this simple DIY tutorial. Using ping pong balls, a string of lights, sharpies, x-acto knife, glue gun, and ribbon scraps you can make fun Snowman lights with personality and very little expense.
I am a huge fan of the fun party lights with thedecorations on them. You know the ones. They have the little plastic parts that snap on over a set of regular Christmas lights. But oh my goodness. They can be a little expensive. Especially when you need enough to cover a room, a backdrop, or the front of your house for a party. So I decided to try and make my own.
And they were so super easy to make.
I started with
A bunch of Ping Pong Balls
Orange and Black Sharpie Markers
Glue gun and glue stick
X-acto Knife
Christmas Light Set
Various Scrap Ribbon
Start by drawing a Snowman face on the front of a ping pong ball. I made all my faces different, but you can do them however you like.
Glue a second ping pong ball to the bottom of the snowman face. Use a lot of glue so it will be sure to stick. Don't worry since you'll be covering up the glue spot.
At the top of your snowman's head, insert your x-acto knife blade to create an "x".
Insert the light bulb into "x" to hang.
Using scrap ribbon (I used 3/4 inch wide ribbon from Walmart) tie a knot between the two glued ping pong balls to look like a scarf.
Hang your snowman lights and enjoy!
See I told you they were easy and super cute to have around after the let down of taking down Christmas lights.
