Cutting Machine Candy Jar Mothers Day Gift and Cut File

Even a newbie vinyl crafter can create an easy Mother's day gift with this cute Candy jar cut file. Using  beginner skills and your cutting machine, you'll have a sweet and easy gift for mom.
Life is sweeter with a mom like you candy jar project

A few years ago, like everyone else who loves to craft....I bought a cutting machine.

I mainly use it for print and cut projects.

It makes cutting my gum heads and projects like that so easy.

But since I came home and am working at my family's candy store again...I have been learning to play with vinyl.  (I know...I'm super late to the game here.)

So I'm creating super easy projects for newbies like me.

Even a newbie vinyl crafter can create an easy Mother's day gift with this cute Candy jar cut file. Using beginner skills and your cutting machine, you'll have a sweet and easy gift for mom.

To make this candy jar, you will need:

Start by downloading the graphic cut file at the bottom of the page.

Upload it into your cutting machine's program.  Make the flower rectangles 6.75 by 3.75 inches and the mom quote 3 by 3 inches.

Cut out using your machine.

Use your weeding pick to pull off the vinyl from the spots that you won't use.

Cut out a piece of your transfer paper and pull off the back.

Center on to your vinyl and use your scraper to secure the vinyl to the transfer paper.

The file is designed to fit 2 of the rectangle graphics on a single candy jar.  This allows you to work in sections with half of the jar being covered at one time.

Use your alcohol wipes to wipe the jar clean.  Allow to dry.

Carefully lay the vinyl on to the jar so that it covers one half.

Use your scraper to secure the vinyl on to the jar from the transfer tape by rubbing it on to the jar.

Carefully pull up the vinyl.

Repeat for the other side.

Then use the same technique to add the quote to the top of the jar centering it on the lid.

Fill with mom's favorite candies and give with a sweet card or candy bar card.
