A few of my favorite party ideas from around the blogosphere...
The Celebration Shoppe shared her Halloween Party, but my favorite part of it were these Monster Pedestal Candy Dishes.  These are so fun!  I just love how the colored candy really makes these fun dishes really pop.  The orange candy in the pumpkins, the green for the Frankenstein, and the white ghost.  I just LOVE them.
Maiden D'Shade shared these Terra Cotta Candy Corn Pots.  Aren't these just the cutest things?  This would make the cutest candy favors for a Halloween party.    Or they would also be cute for adding to your dessert table or as decorations around the room.

Pampers, Play Dates, and Parties shared this great Entertaining Tip.  She shared how to decorate your dessert table with just a little food that looks like so much more.  Using things such as cups, vases, and scrapbook paper, you can add those sour cream, cheese, or snack items to your table in a way that doesn't cost you a fortune but adds to your theme in a great way!
The Kurtz Corner shared this Cinnamon Cider.  This looks so yummy that I can't wait to try it for my fall parties.  And serving it in a hollowed apple is so genious!

Jellyfish Jelly shared how to make this Gladiator Helmet.  How fun would this be to have at a party?  So awesome! I love how easy and fun this helmet is.  It would make a great party favor or craft for a boys party.  Love it!

Here's some fun party ideas from fellow bloggers...

Lifes Simple Pleasures shared her Cowgirl party with this Cardboard Old West Town.  I love how fun this little town is.  What a great and easy idea for the perfect accent, play toy, and picture booth for a cowboy western party.

Blog 5 to 9 shared how to make her Batman Masks.  If you're having a superhero birthday party or have a little (or big) one being Batman this Halloween, this mask is perfect.  It's cheap and easy which is the best thing in a party favor!

Come Together Kids shared this Birthday Countdown Calendar.  I LOVE fun ways to countdown to different holidays and fun events.  This is a simple but GREAT way to countdown to a birthday.  I don't know why I haven't thought of or seen such a simple but elegant and fun countdown.

Story Crafting with Joy shared her Football Goal Post.  I'm in the middle of planning a football party and can't wait to use this either as a decoration on our dessert table or as a game for the kids.  It would be a fun game to have a kicking contest using these.  I can't wait!

My Creative Family shared her Driveway Obstacle Course.  This is such a great idea!  Sometimes its hard to come up with games and activities at parties and this would be such a simple and easy one.  Use your chalk and your imagination and you have a fun activity that can keep the kids busy and tired.

Here are a few of my favorite party ideas from around the web this week...

Mommas Kinda Crafty shared her tutorial on how to make this Drive In Movie Car.  What a fun idea this is!  I know my in-laws host movies outside on the lawn at their house all the time.  What fun it would be to make these cars for the little ones before hand.  It would be a great activity to do while waiting for the movie to get set up and begin.  The details on the car are so cute!  Especially the licence plate...so fun!

The Inspired Housewife shared how to make a Super Slip and Slide.  I know we are planning a big, wet birthday party for next month and this would be perfect for one of the water activities.  It sure looks like the kids are having a great time!  I love how, unlike a traditional slip and slide, there is room for all the kids to play at once.  No more fighting over turns...they can all play together. LOVE it!

SevenThirtyThree shared how to make these cute Monster Photo Ops.  I think they are so fun looking with the kids poking out of the Monster's mouths.  This would be a simple way to add a lot of fun to your next monster party...or change it up and add it to any theme.  What I like the most is the great attention to detail.  She didn't just leave the mouth open for the kids to pop out of...she placed a black piece of fabric so you couldn't see behind and it really looks like the kids are popping out!  That's detail.

Tales of a Trophy Wife shared this awesome Mario Cupcake Cake.  I'm a huge fan of cupcakes, especially at parties, since it's so much easier to serve and eat these on the go than a regular cake...but I really don't like Cupcake Cakes.  Especially when the decoraters combine them together with frosting and decorations.  Yuck.  But this cake is pretty awesome.  I imagine it took some planning to be able to frost them right and lay them correctly, but it's SO worth it.  This cupcake Mario is AWESOME!

Jenerally Speaking shared how to make your own Pinata.  After having done a few parties in the last little bit, I've learned that our little town has no stores that carry pinatas.  And while I HATE them personally, the kids LOVE to have these candy treats at their parties.  It's so helpful to have the DIY instructions on how to make your own...and not just a pinata that's round, but different shaped ones for your party theme.  And it's alot cheaper!  I'll definitely put this idea on my Pinterest party board for Lots of future use.

I have been on vacation this week enjoying Spring Break with my family, so I haven't had a chance to search out some fun party posts to share with you this week.  So I thought I would share some of my favorite blogs with you instead.

Plus, I was very blessed to receive this wonderful

  • Despite my blog having a lot of chocolate and candy projects, I really don't eat much candy.
  • I took classes in college that graded me on throwing a party, white water rafting, and how to set up a proper double elimination bracket.
  •  I swam competitively for 10 years against some great swimmers who ended up swimming in the Olympics.
  • One of my biggest pet peeves is open cupboards in my kitchen.
  • My hubby and I met when I was 13 years old, but never kissed or went on a date until after we were engaged.
  • I LOVE music, almost any kind, and secretly wish I had a decent singing voice.
  • My favorite time of year is fall when I can watch the leaves change, the holidays begin, the weather gets cool and breezy without being cold, and I get to watch my boys play football!

Here's my favorite party projects from around the web this week.

Living Craftily Ever After made this Gumball Topiary for her daughter's birthday party.  I love the bright color!  You could make this in almost any color for any theme party and it would fit right in on your dessert table.  And you should see what she made with the leftover gumballs!  So cute!!

Inspired Honey Bee gave the directions on how to make Little Bunting Flags for your next party.  These are all the HIP Rage right now.  I'm not very good with fabric, so its a good thing this tutorial seems pretty easy...even to me.  I may even switch from my paper buntings.

Crafts By Mommy made these fun Cupcake Toppers for her Sister-in-Law's birthday party.  I just love how using pictues make the cupcakes so personal and fun.  Her Sister-in-Law looks like she would really enjoy these!

A Pretty Life in the Suburbs shared the tutorial on these Pretty Jars with Chalkboard writing.  I think these would be so cute filled with candy and a pretty fabric topper.  Wouldn't that make a great, cheap, and easy party favor?

Read It & Eat shared the directions on making this yummy Vanilla Popcorn.  I've heard that having a popcorn bar (much like a candy bar) is a growing trend in the party and wedding world.  Wouldn't this Vanilla popcorn go great with a table filled with other flavors?  YUM!

Snips and Snails shared 10 Tips and Tools for Frosting Cakes.  With the "need" for cakes and  or cupcakes at almost every party and the price of store bought cakes, I think it's great to know how to do this yourself.  I love how she does such a good job of explaining everything so personably!

I did manage to find the time to do a little blog surfing this week as a way to find my "Me" time with all the craziness upon my return from my Texas trip.

Here's my favorite party and decorating ideas from around Blog land.

My Sweet Things made this Decorative Vase Wrap and shared the easy tutorial.  I Love how this makes a dramatic impact on your party table when you pair it with some pretty flowers and a clear vase.  It adds a touch of elegance that could go with any theme.

Funky Polka Dot Giraffe made this yummy Rainbow Jello treat.  I am a HUGE fan of Jello and think it makes a great dessert at any party.  You can cut it into almost any shape, make it in any color, and can make it so it can travel around with small hands.

Infarrantly Creative made these great iPhone Magnets as a fun gift.  If you aren't having a I-phone party (has anyone done this? Wow.  Wouldn't that be something) you can make this work with any party theme.  Just switch out the iPhone pics for pics from your theme.  This would make a GREAT, cheap, and easy party favor to send home with your guests.

From Glitter to Gumdrops made some uber-cute Milk & Cookies invites for a baby shower.  I love how she incorporated the milk carton look with Cookie Crips inside.  What a clever invitation.  She even shared a new (to me) and clever way to tie them up without having to tie a traditional not.  LOVE IT!

I'm Topsy Turvy shared these great Stamped Party Plates.  I love how clever and unique this idea is.  With a stack of white plates (I must have a TON in my home and party cupboards) you can personalize each party setting using one set of plates.  So great!

Here's some sweet Valentine's Ideas for your party and sweet needs that I've come across this week.

"Happy Clippings" made this cute Paper Garland for home.  I just love how cute this would be hanging over your dinner table on Valentine's day.

"Singing with the Birds" shared directions on these Valentine Pop Shots.  I really tried to get one of my kids to do this for their class valentine's, but couldn't get any takers.  Dang it.  They are cute!

Sweet Little Smoothie took these cute heart boxes and turned them into an Valentine Countdown filled with sweet little treats. Can I tell you how much I absolutely LOVE advent calendars?  I must own at least 20 of them.  But they are almost all for Christmas. It's so fun to see a countdown for other holidays!

The Starfish Blog shares a fun idea for a Valentine Scavenger Hunt.  My kids love to do this with their birthday presents.  Wouldn't it be great for a Valentine party activity too?

Nap Time Journal came up with this fun In The Mood pillow.  My hubby is always saying he wishes I would come up with a sign or something to tell him when I was "in the mood".  This is a great Valentine's gift for him!  He's gonna love it!  (And be sure to check it out, because the other side of the pillow is GREAT too!)

Here are some great party and decorating crafts that I've found this week and had to share.

"A Pretty Life In The Suburbs" shared these cute Valentine Lollipop Pot decorations for the front of your porch!  I just love how quick and easy these are.  And they are versatile with a great POP of impact for your holiday or party.

"Kristy Makes" made these dramatic Glitter Cups.  Wouldn't they be great for a little girls Princess or Rock & Roll party? (I'm planning a "Miss America Birthday" right now and I think these would be GREAT!)

"Allisons Wonder Scraporium" made these yummy Heart cupcakes with Strawberry Laffy Taffy Butter cream.  I have always wanted to know how to bake a shape into a cake...now I know!  And it looks so easy.  (Plus, I totally can't wait to try that Laffy Taffy Butter cream frosting.  I totally CRAVE butter cream frosting!)

"Confessions of a Plate Addict" made this Mickey Mouse Wreath for her grandson's birthday.  Isn't it AWESOME?!?!  I think you could make one of these for just about any party theme pretty easily.  And what an amazing way to let your guests know they are at the right party?  WOW!

"Joys Hope" shared the DIY on these Tiered Trays she made from Dollar Tree finds.  Don't be surprised if you see these on my next dessert table!
