Help the dad in your life survive Fatherhood with this fun printable survival kit. This makes a great father's day gift for the dad in the trenches, the dad just coming home from the hospital, or the dad who is surviving the "know it all" stage.
While I've been away from home more than two weeks now, I remember how hard it is to be a single parent and have a whole new appreciation (again) for those that do it.
A few years ago, hubby and I were sepearated for almost a year due to his job. My kids were really little then, Mini me was under two at the time. It was hard. Really hard.
Once we were able to get together again and move to be together again, I promised myself that would NEVER happen again.
While we've been a part for a few days, even a week or so, here and there, these past two weeks have been extra difficult for me. I don't know if it's the extra stress of being the caregiver to my parents or if it's something more.
But I am super appreciative for my sweet, wonderful dear husband right now and the wonderful father that he is.
And while we've been here, he's been at home dealing with my oldest son. As you can imagine, that has it's own set of challenges. Especially when you have a newly graduated son who think he "knows it all".
So today, I'm sharing a printable for all the father's out there who are wonderful... For all the father's who may struggle most days... For all the father's who just need a little bit of help.
Here's the printable to help you put together a Fatherhood Survival Kit.
You can use the printable to help you give a gift to a new father fresh home from the hospital, or a father who is in the trenches with the little kids, or a father who is hanging on by a thread as his kids go through their independant, "I know it all" stage.
You can download and print this survival kit to use in many ways.
Add the printable to a zip top sandwich bag (it fits right inside) with a single Lifesaver, a piece of gum, a marble, and more to complete the survival kit.
Or you can add a full lifesaver packet, a game of Marbles, a "manly" smelling candle, a new Tape Measure, and more to a tackle box for a fun gift for Father's day. Simple print out the survival kit and add as a tag to the handle of the box.
He'll be glad to know you're thinking of him.
