Quick and Easy Lego Dinner Party

Show your kids that family time can be awesome by throwing them a quick and easy Lego dinner party.  With just a few items from the dollar store and a few printables, you can put together a dinner that will have them racing to the table.

After two weeks of hype, I wanted to show you our quick and easy family dinner party.  We try and have a fun themed dinner every other week.  It's a great way to get the kids excited about family time and to help us as parents remember that it's not all work, dinner and family time can be fun.

This Lego dinner party was a simple one.  I didn't go too crazy with the decorations and embellishments.  I wanted to show you that it doesn't take a lot to make things awesome for your kids.

I started with a red table cloth and added my Lego plastic canvas table runner down the center of the table.  On top of that, I used a large vase as a centerpiece.  I printed out a face using my Lego mix and match faces on to yellow card stock and wrapped it around the vase.

I visited my local Safeway for these colored daisies.  I just love the bright colors and how much they make me smile.  They were the perfect centerpiece to my Lego table.

The table place settings were easy too.

I started with a square plate from Dollar tree and used my Lego face place insert.  They are super easy to print, cut and just add a little bit of a glue stick to the corners to secure to the back of the glass plate.

Using 2 1x6 bricks, and 5 2x4 bricks, I created napkin holders to go beside the plates.  I found some long guest towels in a blue color in the party section at Dollar Tree.  These are a little longer than regular napkins so they worked perfect in the long napkin holders I built.

The glasses have  Lego mix and match faces  printed on to clear labels and secured to the outside of large mugs from Dollar Tree.  And I used the serving cups for the Jello Bricks since they were in the red, blue, yellow and green color palette I was using.

I finished off the table by adding the Lego brick Salt and Pepper shake box printable.

For dinner, we are having Homemade Pizzas using the pizza blank recipe I shared yesterday so the kids can build their own "Lego bricks" out of the pizza blanks and pepporoni.  Lemonade to drink to make our mugs into Lego faces and Jello cut into blocks as a side.

For dessert, we'll have some Lego Man Poop using Candy Blox we got from Amazon.

After dinner, we'll have our Lego Goals family home evening lesson and a round of building contests.
