Are you looking for a fun (and quiet) game to keep the kids busy with on Thanksgiving while all the grown ups are rushing around putting the last minute food together for dinner?  I hope it's not just me.

By the time dinner is almost ready, the kids seem to always be under foot and trying to "help".  I know they are hungry too and ready to eat all the yummy smells wafting through the house, but that's when I find I need just a "few moments" to get everything done.

I created this fun A-Z I am Thankful printable game to keep my kids busy.  I plan to sit them all down and give them a sheet to work on.  For the younger kids, I'm going to give prizes out for anyone who can fill out most of them (say 20 or more) and maybe a big prize for anyone who fills out all of them.

For the older kids, I'm going to treat it like a Scattegories game.  They will get extra points for coming up with things to be thankful for that start with each letter.  Such as for "H" they could put "helping hands" and they would get 2 points.  But they lose points if they put things that someone else is grateful for.  Then we'll have a fun prize for the winner.

The prizes don't have to be anything really big.  Maybe a deck of Uno cards for playing later in the evening.  Or maybe they can snitch a cookie before dinner is ready.  Or maybe I'll give out coloring books to all the little kids as prizes and a iTunes music download (can't you get those for about 0.99?) for the older kids.

If you want to play along and have a few extra moments to get the last of dinner on the table, just right click on the picture above and save to your computer.  Then print out on to regular paper and cut in half.  Then enjoy your peace and some family fun.
