When I first saw these Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Roses from The Family Kitchen, I knew I was going to have to make some for Valentines.  After all, strawberries turned into roses? Genious!  Yummy! and Beautiful! Love it!!

So I gathered up my supplies to turn these roses into a rose candy bouquet.

I started with 6 medium sized strawberries.  I used 3 4 inch sucker sticks and 3 6 inch sucker sticks to give the roses different heights.  I put a little bit of melted chocolate on the ends of the sucker sticks and stuck them into the base of the strawberry.

The strawberry was dipped into Wilton Red Candy Melts and then using the "Bakerella" method of tapping my hand over the chocolate to take off the excess.

I stuck the strawberry roses into a piece of Styrofoam to let them dry.  I like to put them at an angle, so if they drip still, it will drip onto the Styrofoam and not down the stick.

Once the red chocolate was hard, I used black chocolate to drizzle a line down the sides of the rose to give it the rosebud look.

Once all the chocolate was hard, I wrapped the strawberry rose in Saran Wrap and tied it with green curly ribbon.  I used the same method I showed you how in my Candy Bouquet Tutorial except that I tied it on one side and then flipped the ends around to the back and tied more curly ribbon on the back side.  This gave it a full flowery look.

I found a vase at Dollar Tree and filled it with Valentine M&M candies.  Then I cut a piece of bright green tissue paper and nestled a square of Styrofoam down in the top.

I placed the strawberry roses down into the Styrofoam in a fun pattern.  Then used some greenery leaves and "baby's breath" I bought at Dollar Tree to fill in around the roses.

I ended up with this beautiful candy bouquet made with chocolate strawberries.

Isn't it fun?
