Keep the kids busy and entertained on your next car trip by changing your favorite travel songs in to Ad Libs that are sure to keep everyone laughing for miles. Print out ad libs from "Life is a Highway" and "Moving Right Along" to keep your kids from the dreaded "Are we there yet?"
Whether you are going on a family vacation, going to visit family or friends, or just running to the beach for the day, you will probably find yourself listening to the dreaded "Are we there yet?"
This week we made an unexpected trip to Texas and so it was time for the 22 hour long car drive. While my kids are getting older and better at entertaining themselves while we drive, we still end up with those moments when we are trying to come up with a quick "keep them busy so they won't fight' game.
Since we have a fun playlist of travel songs that I try to put on to get the kids in the "mood" for the trip, we decided to take a few of those songs and turn them into ad libs.
You remember ad libs, right? The game where they took at the verb, nouns, and other words from stories so you can add your own craziness to the story. We did the same thing except with a few of the travel songs.
Our two favorite songs ended up being "Life is a Highway" from the Cars movie and "Movin' Right Along" from the Muppet movie.
When we got to our destination, we tried to recreate the game and now are sharing it with you. Hopefully it will keep your kids as entertained as it did mine.
