Create a fun and unique chess set for your game night just like this super chess game staring your favorite heroes! It's easy to DIY your own with a little time, imagination, and cute peg pieces.
But when it came to some of the more original games, we created an XL checkers game and a unique chess game.
And the chess game came out so cool that I had to watch it the whole night as my guests kept threatening to run off with it.
After all, wouldn't you love to have a Marvel vs DC chess game? Let's set Superman vs Captain America!
Since I have absolutely no artistic skill at all, I can't take credit for this super chess game. I had the idea, bought the pieces, and then went to the Drama Queen (my daughter) and begged her to pull out her paint brushes and create my dream.
For the DC side, we have Superman as the King, Wonder Woman as the Queen, Cyborg as the Bishop, Batman as the Knight, Aquaman as the Rook, and the Flash as the Pawns.
It's no wonder that I had to keep these chess pieces under lock and key!
For the Marvel team, we have Captain America as the King, Black Widow as the Queen, Thor as the Bishop, Ironman as the Knight, Hulk as the Rook, and Spider-Man as the Pawns.
And if you have better painting skills than I, this chess set was super easy to make. I used these Dad peg dolls for each of the pieces and watched way too many (is that such a thing?) Superhero movies to create each hero.
Now that I have this set, my mind is spinning with other chess sets to DIY. I love that this has the two superhero groups against each other, but I can't decide who to root for!
