Pumpkin Kisses Halloween Gift Idea

Fall is officially here.

Football season is upon us.  Leaves are starting to change. And pumpkin spice is everywhere.

With the change in seasons, people have a tendency to start staying home more.  We may not see our friends as often as we like. So it's the season of gift giving.

This gift is perfect to leave as a special treat for your kids, to visit and give to your ministering friends, or as a special gift idea for neighbors.

I wrote this pumpkin kisses poem to try and specifically stay away from Halloween and more for fall, so it's a great gift for anyone this October.

To make this gift, you'll need:

• small candy jar from Dollar Tree
• Pumpkin Kisses Halloween Gift Tag
• Pumpkin Stickers from Michaels
• Orange and White Polka Dot 3/8 inch ribbon
• Pumpkin Kiss Stickers
• Hershey Kisses in Chocolate, Caramel, or Pumpkin Spice

Start out by saving and printing the Pumpkin Kisses tag from below on to card stock.  It's a 3 inch circle which makes it slightly smaller than the Dollar tree candy jar.

The tag has a cute pumpkin graphic on it, but I've been trying to play with these 3D stickers that I found at Michaels.  (Aren't these guys just the cutest?)

I placed one of the pumpkin stickers over the pumpkin graphic on the tag, to give the tag a little more texture and pizzaz.  You don't have to do this step if you don't want.  It's purely optional.

Take your ribbon and wrap it around the edge of the jar lid.  Add a little bit of glue to secure the ribbon and tie it into a bow.

If you do this before you place the tag on the jar lid, you will make sure that both the ribbon and the tag line up and it looks nice.

Now add some glue or tape to the back of the tag and secure it to the front of the candy jar lid.

For extra fun to your Halloween gift, grab our Pumpkin kiss labels and print them out on to photo paper.  Cut with a 3/4 inch hole punch and glue on to the bottom of your Hershey kisses.  You can use regular chocolate kisses, caramel kisses for the orange color, or Pumpkin kisses for a real pumpkin treat.

Fill your candy jar with kisses and add the lid.
