I think giving gifts is one of my love languages.  I spend probably way too much time thinking of the perfect gift to give everyone on my Christmas list.

Then, once I finally decide what to give, I have to wrap and decorate the gift in the cutest way possible.

When it finally comes down to the gift tag, I find myself just sticking a store bought to and from tag on the gift.  A little anti climatic now that I think about it.

This year I decided to do a little more.

I just added a whole bunch of Christmas candy bag toppers to our party store.  As I did so, the thought came to me that these would make perfect gift tags and treats all in one!

As my kids eyed the candy over my shoulder while taking pictures of the bag toppers, I stuck aside a few toppers of their favorites and while they were at school today, I wrapped and added the candy bag toppers to their gifts as to and from tags.

I think they turned out super cute and will add that perfect touch to my Christmas gifts.

I'm sharing my newest Christmas bag topper as a free printable for you today, so you can up your present game and give a sweet treat to everyone on your list this year.

Start by grabbing the Bursting with Joy bag topper printable from the bottom of the page.  It's available to fit 3x4 inch bags from any crafting store.

If you want a different topper, check out all our Christmas bag topper printables in our party store here.

Print out the bag topper onto card stock.  Cut around the outer square edge on each of the toppers.  Then fold just above the color graphic so you have a "v" shape.

Fill a 3x4 bag with starburst candies.  6 of the wrapped treats fit perfect in the bag.

Using a regular hole punch, punch a hole in the top center of your folded bag topper.  I did mine right on the line between the white and the border above the "hope".

Wrap your present as normal.  When you are done, grab some curling ribbon or other small Christmas ribbon and wrap around your present so you have something to attach your tag to.

I found it was easier to turn the bag topper over and write my to and from gift recipient information on the back before I tied it to the gift.  So be sure to do that.

When done, slide the top of your candy bag into the bag topper between the front and back.  Staple the bag closed.

Slide your present's ribbon though the hole in your bag topper and tie the gift tag onto your present.

Tie into a pretty bow or add some more curling ribbon to create a pretty curly bow.

Place the present under your Christmas tree and watch your kids uh and ah over the gift and the to and from gift tag!

Such a fun idea.

Some of my favorite gift tags from our printable bag toppers are the Don't Snicker bag topper, Filled with Joy bag topper, and Holly Jolly Christmas bag topper.

If you want this bag topper for the 3x4 bag, just save the printable gift tag below.  If you need it for a different size bag, you can find it in our party shop here.
