Let your guests fly to Hogwarts with this Harry Potter flying car photo booth during your next Harry Potter birthday party. Your guests will LOVE this fun and magical memory.
This year's Harry Potter birthday party has been focused on the second book in
the series "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets."
So of course, when you are headed to Hogwarts, you need to take a flying
car...you just never know when Platform 9 3/4 will be closed.
As much as I would have liked to make my own, I know my DIY limits.
So when I saw this car photo booth prop from CraftyPaperCompany on Etsy, I knew it would be
perfect for our Harry Potter flying car.
I quickly emailed CraftyPaperCompany and asked if she could color and personalize the car to
fit our Harry Potter theme. It turned out perfect!
I think the car photo booth is designed to be held while the guests take
pictures, but we wanted them to feel like they were sitting in the car flying
to Hogwarts. So we cut some extra cardboard pieces and glued them on the
back to help the car stand up.
We grabbed this Moon background from Amazon and set it up behind the
car.
Then we added Hedwig in his cage and a bench in front. The bench was
showing in the pictures, so we added a dark blue bed sheet to cover it and
that worked perfect.
We needed to make the car higher so we added two Sams Club chip boxes covered
in white pillow cases to look like clouds and a dark blue pillow case between
the two boxes to hide the guests' feet, and propped the car up on that.
It was the perfect height, but the car was pretty light weight so it kept
blowing over when guests walked by. Not a huge problem, but something to
think about when deciding where to set up the car photo booth.
The Harry Potter flying car was a huge hit at our party! With this and
the Invisibility Cloak, the guest's took lots of pictures and felt truly at
Hogwarts. Which to us, is a huge success! If you want it at your next Harry Potter party, you can find the flying car photo booth prop at CraftyPaperCompany on Etsy.
