The 45th Annual Scarborough Renaissance Festival

Looking for a spring outing the whole family will love? Scarborough Renaissance Festival returns April 4 - May 25, 2026, in Waxahachie (2511 FM 66, about 30 minutes south of downtown Dallas), open Saturdays, Sundays and Memorial Day Monday from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Celebrating its 45th season, this immersive 16th-century village is packed with kid-friendly fun, including full-combat jousting, birds of prey shows, live music, comedy acts, games of skill and human-powered rides. Families can explore more than 200 artisan shoppes, enjoy themed weekends (think Celtic, pirates and fantasy), and watch colorful street performances around every corner.

Special perks for parents: plenty of interactive entertainment, stroller-friendly paths, and themed weekends that keep repeat visits fresh. Opening Weekend and Mother's Day Sunday even feature free admission for children 12 and under.

Tickets are $34 for adults and $15 for children ages 5 - 12; children 4 and under are always free. Discount tickets are available at Tom Thumb and Albertsons. Plan your visit at https://www.srfestival.com/?utm_source=dfwkidsguide&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=spring_2026
