Easter Bunny Milk Bottles

While I was blog hopping this morning, I came across these adorable Easter Bunny Bottles from Happy Clippings.  They were made using water bottles and filled with Easter candy.  Aren't they the cutest?  I thought so! So I decided I needed a few on my table this weekend.

But instead of making mine with water bottles and filling them with candy (which I'll probably have enough of anyway...) I decided to make mine as the drinks for my table.

I went and purchased these Milk Chugs from Walmart in strawberry, chocolate, and white milk.  (I found these up in the cold soda area by the express checkout stations.)

I "undressed" my milk by removing the outside label.

Happy Clippings shared the printables to make her bottles, but unfortunately they didn't look right on my large milk bottle.  Plus, I wanted the bottles to look like the rabbits were different colors, so I needed colored hands.  So I went ahead and designed some hands and ears to match my pink, brown, and white color scheme.

My arms are designed to wrap all the way around the bottle.  So I placed the arms around and glued the right arm to the sign to secure it.

I cut out the ears in the corresponding color and folded it up at the ear line so the ears would "stand" up.

I have pink, purple, and blue polka dot cupcake liners in my shop, so I took one and cut a 1 1/4 inch slit in the top.  Then I glued the ears inside the wrapper so they stuck out the top.

The cupcake wrapper is slightly smaller than the lid of the milk, but you really can't tell at all.
I waited to draw the face on my bunny until I had her hat on so I could judge the right place to put it on.  Then I realized I couldn't find any of the TONS of googly eyes that I have somewhere in my stash.  (So they will have to be added before the party.)

I decided my bunny needed a pom pom tail...

and a bow for her hat.
Isn't she just the cutest thing?
Now I'm off to make several more for the party!

Here are the printables if you want to make these yourself...

Now be sure to go over and visit Happy Clippings for the original version of this cute Easter Bunny bottle and then come back and show me your version!
