It's been a crazy week here as I returned from Spring Break and had to get affairs back in order. Am I the only one who dreads coming back from vacation only because of the HUGE list of To-Do's to be done? It's crazy sometimes.
Plus, "Mr. Perfectionist" started his track season this week. This year he's running the 4x400 relay, the 400, and jumping the Long Jump and the High Jump. (Can I brag a minute and say how AWESOME he is? Just don't tell him I told you, he's already so swollen in pride about his performance, but so am I really.) His love is really the High Jump and this year he's trying to get the school record of 5'9". It's kind of strange to think my 14 year old son could jump over me if he wanted to, but it's kind of cool too.
So this week I spent 4 hours at a track meet picking that bar up off the ground and resetting it, picking it up and resetting it, picking it up and resetting it as I helped run the High Jump. But to be honest....I wouldn't have changed it for anything.
How was your week? Are you finally enjoying some good weather? It really makes me want to get outside and start doing "something". I don't know what...just something.
Anyway, on to business....
The winner of a personalized name plaque is....
From Glitter to Gumdrops who shared these yummy Push Up Pop Cupcakes. She shared how she made these using mini cupcakes, sweet frosting, and some fun push up containers. I know I would love to try one of these myself. Both to eat and to make. I think the bite sized love and ease of eating on "the go" make these push up pops an amazing idea.
While you're checking out Christy's cupcakes, be sure to stay and check out some of her other projects. I've been following From Glitter to Gumdrops for sometime now and I LOVE her blog. She has some really fun parties and ideas. I love this Milk and Cookies baby shower. She threw it in her school's library and had a book theme going through that was so clever. I am also seriously coveting her Teacher Appreciation Duct Tape Notebook. There are some fun duct tape designs out there and I never thought of adding them to a notebook for an easy gift idea. And if you'll remember, I featured her Twilight party last week in my Spring Break parties feature. It's so glam and a great way to keep up the excitement for the movie release in 6 months.
Thanks so much Christy for such a fun blog and for sharing your great ideas with us!
