Welcome Back to Dare to Share Saturday

Welcome back to our Dare to Share blog linky party!  Did you miss us?  I sure missed parting with you guys and seeing all your amazing-ness.

Both Pam and I got a little swamped with the holidays and enjoying time with our family and friends, so we took a fun two week vacation from our linky party.  I hope you were able to spend some extra time with your loved ones too.

But we are back and ready to see all the awesome projects you've been working on this year.  I know with the start of the new year, we all get super excited for the possibilities and work extra hard to move forward.

If you noticed, I've upped my blogging schedule this week with a lot more posts.  I decided to stop blogging over at The Treasured Bookshelf and combine my two blogs.  I found I was posting more party stuff over there than book fun, and I have had some new responsibilities fall into my lap, so I just can't seem to keep two blogs running.  So you guys get rewarded, with more content and party fun!

I hope you'll check out all that I shared this week, because I know I can't wait to see what you've been up to.

Happy Thanksgiving and Dare to Share Saturday

I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and spending it with family and friends.  I am, so I don't have traditional Dare to Share features with you this week.  But don't be afraid that your wonderful submissions were missed.

I used them all this week to fill my Facebook, Pinterest, Google Plus, and Twitter feeds with your amazing projects.  Hopefully I can make this a habit and that way you will get so much more exposure on your Dare to Share submission than just a normal feature.

So this week, kick back, enjoy a quick share and some great perusing through the other submissions while munching on your turkey leftovers.

I can't wait to see what you've been up to!

3 Holiday Party Dip Recipes and Dare to Share Saturday

With the holidays, we seem to make more time to get together with friends and family.  I'm not sure why we feel we can/should do this at Thanksgiving and Christmas time and not any other time of the year, but it seems to be the case.

I really think we need to start having big "Christmas" type parties all throughout the year.  Wouldn't that be great?  I know one of my New Year's Resolutions will be to start having our friends over for our themed dinner parties more often.  I'm thinking once a month would be so much fun!

But since you're probably already starting to plan your Thanksgiving and Christmas parties, I know you're thinking about food and party games.  If you missed it, our great friends here at the Dare to Share Saturday linky party shared some great Dip Recipes for your Holiday Parties.

You definitely need to check out these three recipes:

My in laws have been here all this week, so we are thinking of having a big send off on Saturday by inviting some of our friends over for a big Lasagna dinner party.  I think I will definitely have to use one of these recipes while we are waiting for the finishing dinner touches.  They all look so delicious.

What have you been up to this week? I can't wait to see!

3 Thanksgiving Centerpiece Ideas and Dare to Share Saturday

Hey guys!  It's Friday again.

I don't know about you guys, but it's been a LOOOOOOONG week this week.  I don't know if it's the sugar high the kids have been on or what, but this week took forever to get through.

I'm not sure the weekend will be much better around here though.  My inlaws are coming this weekend which means extra cleaning to get ready and yelling to get the boys to clean up their rooms.  Which means extra laundry for me.  (Why does cleaning there rooms equal days of laundry for me?  I've started "collecting" those clothes that are still folded and never worn into a pile that I'm NOT returning. We'll see if they even notice.  So far they haven't.)

If you've noticed this week I've transitioned into Thanskgiving here on the blog.  My printer is down for maintenance so I've been sharing lots of printables and freebies for you guys.  I can't wait until it's back up and running so I can print out that Turkey Poop for this year's thanksgiving dinner.  And these candy bar wrappers as place settings?  They will be so cute on the table.

It looks like you guys are thinking about Thanksgiving too.  I loved checking out all your printables and great ideas.  I am trying to figure out how to dress my Thanksgiving table this year, so I was excited to check out these crafty ideas that I'm considering for my Thanksgiving table centerpiece.  If you missed them, check out these 3 ideas.

My friend and co-host of Dare to Share Saturday was celebrating something much more fun this week on her blog--her birthday!  Happy Belated Birthday Pam!

I was married a few days before Halloween and wanted to do a Halloween costume wedding so bad.  But dear hubby wanted nothing to do with that one.  So every year on our anniversary, I want to throw a Halloween party to celebrate.  I have yet to make it happen.

So I was super jealous that I didn't get to attend Pam's Big Birthday party this year.  It looked like so much fun.  You need to go check it out.  Her parties are always so amazing!

What did you do this week?  I can't wait to see what you've been up to!

One more weekend until Halloween!  Are you ready for all the magic, fun, and treats?

3 Halloween Printables and Dare to Share Saturday

Dear Hubby went out of town this week with work and I ended up getting so busy with being Mom--Mom taxi, Mom chef, Mom entertainer, Mom everything that I ended up taking the week of this week as far as blogging goes.

So I don't have a whole lot to show you this week if you look back over the posts, but I did have a lot of fun and activity with my boys...and that's what I hope all the ideas that I share each week helps us to do-- spend more time with our families in fun ways.

If you saw me on Instagram, the boys and I went rollerskating this week. It's been years since I went and it took me a long time to get my "sea legs" under me, but when I did, we had a blast.  I know we are definitely going to go again (plus, it was great exercise which is definitely something I'm trying to do more of now that the heat is breaking a little.)

I did manage to get my Fall decorations up this week while the boys were at school.  I love how they turned out! I took the flower arrangements, fall leaf lights, and made a fabric pennant banner to decorate my mantel and TV area.  I just need to go get some fall wax melts to complete my transformation to fall.

I can see that you guys are starting to get in the fall mood too.  If you missed it, go and check out these 3 Halloween printables shared at last week's Dare to Share Saturday.

3 Fun Family Party Ideas and Dare to Share Saturday

Wow.  I'm glad that was a short week because I am ready for the weekend!

Dear Hubby and I have been married for almost 22 years now and in that time, I can count the number of times that we've had the house to ourselves on NO hands.  It's never happened.  The kids have always been around and while I love that, I look forward to a few quite moments when it's just the hubby and I.

We try and make it Date night at least every other week.  It doesn't always happen, especially during sport's seasons, but I think it's super important to put alone time with your spouse on your to do list as often as possible.

But this weekend our two youngest are headed to go camping with their Scout Troup.  I never though this day would happen, but Dear Hubby and I have the house to ourselves tonight.  We can go out and not worry that the kids will kill each other while we are gone or that we'll get that dreaded "I'm hurt" call (yes, it has happened.  I never did see the end of Batman thanks to 12 stitches.)

So tonight we'll be partying it up and having a good time just the two of us.  I just need to figure out what we are going to do.  I want to make it special since we won't be on a time crunch, so I've been scouring the town trying to find something fun to do.

Or maybe we'll just stay in and play some games or Netflix and Chill.  I'm tempted to purchase this Ultimate Intimacy Pack from the Dating Divas.  I love their date night ideas and think it would be fun to try this.

I hope you get to enjoy the weekend too!  If you are looking for some fun family time, check out these 3 great party ideas from last week's Dare to Share Saturday.

3 Apple Recipes and Dare to Share Saturday

The kids are back in school now, football is on TV, and there seems to be cracks in the summer heat wave...so fall must be on it's way.

YEA!

I think fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the color changes, the crisp air, Friday night football at the local schools, and Halloween.

It's so much fun to find a local hay ride and have a sip or two of hot apple cider.  I am wondering if South Carolina will indulge me here or if we'll have to find some new fall traditions.  What kind of things are on your fall bucket list?

While pumpkin seems to reign supreme in the fall months, apples are showing their colors too.  I hope that you'll consider some of these yummy looking apple recipes from last week's Dare to Share Saturday.

While we are all shouting and excited that school and fall is here, do an extra shout for my friend and co-host Pam from Pam's Party and Practical Tips.  She was featured this week on People Online.  How cool is that?
http://www.pamspartyandpracticaltips.com/2016/08/pokemon-go-desserts.html

We first met when I discovered her Pokémon Party years ago and fell in love with her party style.  Seems like People has too.  They shared her Pokeball Rice Krispie Treats on their 10 Pokémon Go Themed Desserts.

3 Organization Ideas for Back to School and Dare to Share Saturday

School starts for us on Monday.

Hooray!!

With all the craziness of this summer and the move, I am so ready for the kids to get out and make new friends and start school again.

Mini Me is super excited, but The Perfectionist is fighting it every step of the way.

Me, I'm celebrating all the way to the bus stop.

While they are gone, I plan to finally finish the last of the unpacking and get things organized around here.  So it was super nice to be able to see all the great organization ideas you guys shared at last week's Dare to Share Saturday.

3 Back to School Printables and Dare to Share Saturday

This week was School registration week here.  The boys were not very happy with it.

I was.

I know that once they get back into school and schedules, there will be less boredom fights around the house.  It's been so hot, that no one wants to go outside, so we haven't made any new friends since we've been in our new home, and for a while the toys that have been in storage for two months were played with, but it's getting old for everyone.

We are so ready for school, no matter what they say.

So next week, I'm starting my Back to School party preperations here on the blog.  I'm going to be trying a theme that is not traditionally school related, but I think the boys will love.  Here's a sneak peak from my Instagram account.

Can you guess what my theme is?  I'm super excited because it has given me an excuse to buy some Harry Potter Funko pops that I've been eyeing for a while.  (Hubby can't complain if it's for work right?)

I was glad to see that I'm not the only mom who was thinking back to school last week.  Here were three Back to School printables that were shared at last week's Dare to Share Saturday. In case you missed them, check them out here...

I've also been working hard to get things organized for the new year.  (As mom's we all know the real start of the year is School right?)  I cleaned up and rearranged the Free Printables tab up in the top bar.  Hopefully it will make things a lot more organized and easy to find.  Will you go check it out and tell me what you think?

3 Posts that Make Me Want to Shirk my Chores and Dare to Share Saturday

This week has been spent unpacking and working to get the house liveable.  I'm so glad to have the house but it's been a lot of work and I'm ready for a break.

So I was so glad to have such wonderful posts to look at when I did have a chance to sit down.  You guys made me want to take a day or two or five off this week and get back to my love of reading.  If you missed it, here were three great book posts that made me want to shirk my chores.

3 Ice Cream Treats to Cool Off with this Summer and Dare to Share Saturday

We did it.  We survived two months in the hotel and two days of moving in 2000 degree heat.

Okay, maybe it wasn't that bad, but there were times I wasn't sure I was going to make it.  I can not seem to get used to this heat after the lovely boring weather in Colorado.  South Carolina may do me in.

But we are out of most of the boxes.  I just can't seem to find any of my dishes.  I am not sure how they hid them since we are down to about 10 boxes still unpacked.  And we won't even begin to talk about the state of my kitchen and linen closet.  Oh well.  At least we are Home now.

That means finding ways to cool off and new recipes to try for our Ice Cream housewarming party.  In case you missed it, you guys shared some great ice cream recipes last week.  I wish I could feather them all.  But I do hope to be able to try them all as soon as I find my kitchen.

If you missed them, check out these three ice cream treats to cool off with this summer from last week's Dare to Share Saturday.

3 Summer Drinks to Help you Beat the Heat and Dare to Share Saturday

We final move in date and are looking at the end of our hotel stay.  Whew.  We are all ready to be home and in our own beds again.

That means that we also have an actual date for our Ice Cream housewarming party.  With all these heat, I'm ready for some ice cream and some cool.

I'm so glad that you guys shared some great drink recipes at last week's Dare to Share Saturday to help with the summer blahs.  I've been sharing them on Instagram this week as well as enjoying them in the afternoons when we are hiding in the hotel room from the crazy South Carolina heat.  (And they tell me it's not even "hot" yet.  I'm so in trouble here.)

In case you missed them, check out these 3 Summer Drinks to help you cool off.

My friend and co-host Pam from Pam's Party and Practical Tips has been enjoying the summer months away from her teaching job and joined in the Ultimate Recipe Challenge this week.  These Strawberry Chocolate Muffins look so good.  I can't imagine anything with chocolate and strawberries would be bad though.  But I'm certainly ready to give them a try and give her my "objective" opinion.  How about you?

I've been working on my Ice Cream party and shared a few fun projects for that this week, as well as a round up of great treats in case your kids are out catching those Pokémon Go characters.  Don't forget to sign up for my newsletter this month to get all the great projects delivered directly to your inbox, as well as the Ice Cream Party Light Covers and other free printables each month.
