Shindig Saturday Weekly Linky Party #9

Happy Almost Easter friends! I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend and have lots of fun plans to enjoy the coming of spring and the Easter holiday.

We didn't end up dying Easter eggs this year...but we did decorate some yummy ones!

As a tradition in my home, we have "Cookie Fridays".  We usually make cookies to celebrate getting through the school and work week on Friday afternoon.  It gives us a chance to enjoy baking together and to sit and enjoy a warm cookie with a cold glass of milk and just talk for a few minutes.  Its a time I really enjoy with my family and my kids really look forward to it too.

Yesterday with the kids home from school, we decided to make Sugar Cookie Easter Eggs.

I've been wanting to try Sugar Belle's recipe and directions for decorating cookies.  It looks so easy and her cookies are just beautiful.  So the kids and I baked up some cookies, filled some decorating bottles, and got busy.

We started off being really good and waiting the 20 minutes between layers, but by the end, we were having such a good time coloring the eggs, we only waited a few seconds.  But that's okay, the cookies still turned out nice and we had a great time!

I hope your Easter is a wonderful time with family and friends and it's as sweet as can be!

The winner of our Tile Coaster Set party favor for last week's Shindig Saturday is:

Pam shared how to use polymer clay to make an easy necklace to celebrate Earth day.  I have always loved decorating my house for different holidays, but would it be fun to decorate yourself too?  This necklace is such a fun idea for Earth day, but you could also use her decorations to make an Easter Egg necklace, or how about a Spring Flower necklace for Mother's day, or what about an apple to give to your teacher for Teacher Appreciation week?  So fun!

If you don't remember I featured Pam's Pokemon party during my Spring Break Shindig parties.  When I first found this party I was completely amazed at the details she put into the decorations, the games, and the fun!  And she does that for all of her parties.  Wow!  I'm amazed at the fun in her Western Party (that Lasso is such a great idea!)  But Pam also shares lots of great holiday and party ideas and her shopping great deals inspire me to shop smarter and better each week!

Go check her blog out and stay for a while.  You'll be glad you did!
Our party favor for this week's Saturday Shindig

This jar is perfect for Teacher Appreciation week or an end of the year teacher gift!
Candy jar has 25 Hershey mini's inside.  Each mini has a fun saying to make your teacher smile.
Say thank you with a cute jar your teacher can reuse and alot of chocolate to enjoy!
To ENTER, just join our Linky Party by sharing your favorite party themed craft, table scape, photo, favor, or whatever! I'm pretty flexible since just about everything can be used at a party...that's the great thing about us moms! We can see the potential in ANYTHING!

(We'll use a random generator to pick the winner next Friday evening.)
