When you're a party planner, or a crazy, busy mom, keeping on top of your schedule and the huge "To Do" list is a pretty important plan.

So far, I've never forgotten to pick up a kid from school (so maybe I did lose track of time once or twice....but I haven't forgotten...So all my kids can hush there!)

Since my memory is horrible, I count my current success to my daily planner.  I absolutley love planners, so I've been searching for a good planner that works for years.  I had no luck in the pre-made ones on the market, so last year I made my own blog planner.  (You can see it here.)

I've made a few slight changes since the video.  Mainly, my days are now full pages.  I found I worked better with daily lists (as in a bullet planner.)

While my planner works great, I often find there are things that I need to do every day that I constantly am writing into my days.  I decided it would be so much easier if I had some cute labels to help me keep track of things like my daily water intake, my blog's facebook updates, and my kids' medicine schedules.

So I decided to make my own labels for my planner.

It was really easy, and since my memory is terrible, I thought I'd share the tutorial with you (and myself, when I've forgotten how I did it in a week or two.)

I started by downloading the Avery label template for the label size I needed.  I went with a Return Address Label, since it was small enough that I could fit several on to the area needed in my planner.

I opened the labels and added the numbers and graphics that I wanted.

Before I printed the label, I decided I wanted a color background.  But I couldn't figure out how to add one without it not printing over the full label.

So, I found a background that I liked. (I went with green to match my March St Patrick's day pages.)  Then I printed it full sized onto the label paper.  This gave me a green background.

Then, I went back and printed the labels.  Now when I pull up the label to place it in my planner, I have a full sized, cutely covered label to help me stay on track.

You can make labels for anything now! And add any type or color of background.  So your planner pages can be as cute as you want with very little time, effort, or cost!  WOOT!  WOOT!
