When you have all the elements of your party together, sometimes the hardest part is figuring out what to serve as a drink.

Sometimes, it's easy just to name a regular drink after some theme aspect in your party like Pool Water or xxx.  Other times you need something "more".

When I was trying to decide what to drink at our Arcade movie viewing party for the upcoming show Pixels, I knew it needed a little bit of "something something."

So when I was cruising Amazon, I found this awesome 50Fifty Space Invaders Ice Tray* .  I knew it would be perfect for the party.

Once it came, I gathered the 50Fifty Space Invaders Ice Tray*, a bottle of 7-up soda, and a container of made Koolaid (use whichever flavor you like, but Black Cherry is my favorite!)

Pour your made Koolaid into a small cup to easily fill your ice cube tray.  The indentions are pretty small, so I found this to be the easiest way.  Now freeze the cubes for a few hours.  (Mine were good when I got back from errands 3 hours later.)

Fill your glass with 7-up soda and then drop in the Space Invaders ice cubes.  This will keep them from being "disfigured" as you pour the Koolaid and help them to keep their shape.

As they melt, they will flavor the soda and make it taste yummy.  Mine tasted like a Shirley Temple soda.  And now the kids can destroy the Space invaders at our arcade party while enjoying a yummy, soda shot.
