One of my families favorite treats is definitely chocolate covered Oreos.  Since I sell them in my store, I don't make them so much for the kids.  So I decided to surprise them with Snowman chocolate covered Oreos for our sledding party.  And to give them a little extra thrill, I turned them into pops.

These snowman oreo pops are going to be such a thrill at our next party, and they were so easy to make.  Plus, I know they will taste delicious too.

To make these cute snowmen, you'll need:
Oreos (Double stuff, of course because they taste better)
White Chocolate Melts
Sucker Sticks (I used the 8 inch sticks)
Mini M&Ms
Twizzler Pull and Peel Candies
Regular M&Ms
Orange Tic Tacs

Start by melting the white chocolate.  I found it best to use a large coffee mug so that it was easy to dip the oreos later.  Be careful with white chocolate because it likes to burn easier than other flavors.  Melt it in one minute increments at 50 percent power until it is smooth and melty.

Screw the top off of an oreo.  Dip one end of a sucker stick into the chocolate and push it down into the cream center of the oreo.  Place the oreo lid back on and allow to harden.

Once the lid is "glued" down with chocolate, dip the oreo pop into your white melted chocolate.  Carefully tap the hand holding the pop with your other hand to knock off any excess chocolate and smooth out the chocolate on the oreo.

Place your oreo down onto was paper or aluminum foil.  While the chocolate is still warm and wet, decorate yoru snowman's face.  I used mini M&Ms for eyes, an orange Tic Tac for the nose, and Twizzler Pull and Peel for the mouth.  (I also played with using the mini M&Ms as mouths too, but decided I liked the Twizzlers more in the end.)

Because I wanted to put a hat on my snowmen, I put the faces down towards the bottom of the oreo or off to the side.

Once your oreo and the chocolate is hardened, warm up some colored chocolate the same way you did the white.  Allow the chocolate to cool down slightly.  Dip the edge of your oreo into the cool chocolate to look like a beanie hat is sitting on the snowman's head.

Add a large M&M to the middle of your chocolate beanie to look like the top of the hat, and allow to dry.  You're done!  Now surprise your kids with these tasty snowmen treats!
