What a fun way to get your guests excited for your Easter party. This printable invite is easy and so awesome to make.
We're having an Egg-stravangaza this Easter and you're invited!
These fun invitations will really get your guests in the mood for your Easter party whether it be an egg hunt, dinner, or brunch. And they are super easy to make too!
I started out by printing my invitation details into an egg shape using PrintMaster.
I made mine slightly smaller than 4x6 inches.
Then I cut it out.
Next I took some fun paper that I had laying around...(see Hubby, it's always a good idea to buy that super cute paper when it's on sale!) I can't find this paper pack anywhere online, but you can find one like it on Amazon here.
Mine was a glitter stack, so it came in some cute card stock style with glitter on the front designs. (So cute for these invites.)
To make sure the eggs match sizes, I turned the glitter stock over and traced my invitation egg.
This was probably the hardest part of the whole invitation, since I can NEVER find a sharpened pencil in my house...and only Heaven knows where the pencil sharpeners are.
I cut out the egg, so I have the invite and the front decoration.
I made 2 different styles with my invitations...on one, the egg is whole, while on the other it's "cracked."
To make the "whole" egg...
Line up the two eggs so they are both facing up with the decoration egg on top.
Punch a hole in the bottom (or the top depending upon how you want your egg to open.)
Using those little "tab thingies" (what are they called?), place through the hole and secure the eggs together.
Now the egg slides right over to open for the invitation details.
If you want to make the "cracked" egg, do the same thing...
except cut the egg in the middle to resemble a broken egg.
Punch a hole in the top AND the bottom and attach with fasteners.
If you want to make you're own, here's a free egg invitation printable you can use for the details of your party and as a decoration egg template.
Just click on the picture below to open in a new page. Then right click and save to your computer. Print out and add your party details.
I'd love to see how you're eggs come out!
I love, love and love that idea!! I try my best to be "crafty." At times it workds in my advantage, other times not so much. lol I will have to remmebr this idea. Look easy, fun and one the kids can help with. :)
