Parties have changed a bit in the past few years. I have noticed how we have brought more of the digital side of our lives into the planning and preparing, especially when it comes to invitations.
No longer are we sending out invites via mail or sending invitations with our kids to school.
It seems digital invitations that can be emailed, texted, or sent via Facebook messenger for an upcoming birthday party are the new normal.
And that seems so much more fun too!
Mobile invitations can do so much more than physical invites.
You can make them animated or interactive for a truly awesome party planning experience.
To help you with your party planning needs, I have started including mobile invites in the party shop. And I’m so excited about them.
To share this excitement and show you how easy they are to use, I am sharing our St Patrick’s day party mobile invitation.
My mobile invitations come in both an animated style and an interactive style both in a Canva template so you can easily customize the text and party information for your st paddy’s day party
The animated invite has all your party information on the bottom of the invitation
To edit, you simply click on the text and type your own information
If you decide you want a different font, simply change the font color, style, and size after clicking on the words
In this st pattys day invite, the shamrocks “twinkle” in the background while your guests are reading the invitation for a fun addition
In the interactive invite (which has to be my new favorite party invitation style), the text on the page can also be changed for the date and time of your party right inside Canva
But there are shamrocks at the bottom that include links to your party place directions on maps and a link to RSVP via text to your phone number!
In our other invites, there is also a link to gift ideas where you can add a page with specific gift ideas or you can link to your child’s Amazon wish list or a Target baby registry
How cool is that?!?!
To edit the links you need to click on the one that you want and then the three dots that will show up (as highlighted in yellow above).
Then click “edit link” in the drop down menu.
To edit your RSVP link, just change the ten digit phone number after the sms code. Make sure you leave the code and just change the phone number.
To edit the map directions, go to Google maps and enter your party address. There will be a “share link” code that comes up. Copy that code and enter it into the link spot on your invitation (as shown in the highlighted image above.)
Then when your guests click on the address, the map will show up in Google maps giving them step by step directions to your party.
And the RSVP link will open allowing them to easily text you that they are coming!
Oh I just had a thought… would a link to add to the party date and time to their online calendar be a good addition to this invite too? Drop a comment and let me know!
To download and send these invites, you need to click on the save as button once your invite is customized
For the animated invite, save the first page as a mp4 video to your computer or mobile device. Then find it in your photos or videos, and text, email, or Facebook messenger to all your guests
For the interactive invitation, save the second page as a PDF Print to the files section on your mobile device or computer. Then go to your files to find it and send to your guests
I am super excited about these new mobile invitation Canva templates. Would you like to try this out for your St Patrick’s day party?
You can find this template link in our party shop here as well as all our other mobile party invites here.
