Create a fun and easy family dinner and movie night while watching LILO and Stitch. See how to craft these Printables with dollar store products and quick printables in this DIY tutorial.
You guys know how much I love to plan themed dinner nights. I might have gotten a little carried away over the years.
Now that I have grandbabies coming over, I want to keep the tradition, but pair it down a little so I have more time to play with them, but still get all the fun of a family dinner night.
I decided to purchase some glass plates and Color Me Tumbler Mugs from Dollar Tree and start planning dinner parties around these items. That way I can keep using the same items and just switch out the dinner printables for new fun. Quick, easy, and fun.
We decided to have a dinner and movie night with the kids watching the original Lilo and Stitch movie.
To set the table I used fun activity placemats featuring coloring, games, and puzzles for the kids to work on while we finish putting dinner on the table. They are a little much for the younger ones but the older kids love them.
On top of the placemats are Dollar Tree glass plates so you can see the mat beneath. I. The center of the plate is a 6 inch insert circle that I secured to the bottom of the plate using glue dots.
A napkin and silverware are wrapped up in a matching napkin ring that has just been taped around to secure.
For the cups, I grabbed some of the Color Insert Tumblers from Dollar Tree and added a fun LILO and Stitch insert. It’s a quick and easy way to add to the table decor without stress. Plus the cups have lids on them so they can go from dinner table to movie night without the spill.
While having dinner we asked some “Would You Rather” questions based on the movie I really like getting a glimpse into what my kiddos are thinking with these types of games
When dinner was over and movie night ready, we grabbed our cups and our movie buckets filled will yummy treats.
The buckets are four compartment buckets from Dollar Tree and I placed the cup, a box of movie theater candy, a popcorn bucket, and a small cup inside the bucket so the kids could all have their own trays.
For the popcorn buckets I created some Printables that we cut out and glued into a line. Then we just dropped the popcorn bucket down inside. This way we could throw away the printable when done and wash the popcorn box out for next time.
I created some cupcake wrappers, but decided to go with gold fish instead. So I purchased a four pack of ice cream cups and spoons from Dollar Tree and just taped the cupcake wrappers on for the theme.
Lastly I grabbed some of the kids favorite theater box candies and covered them in wrappers. Each wrapper has lilo and Stitch on the front and “Ohana means family” picture on the back.
Each theater box is a different size so it may take me a while to get all of the template sizes created but my goal is to get the major ones for each movie night.
I currently have M&M regular, Sour Parch Kids regular, Skittles regular, and Mike and Ike original.
I am so excited to start sharing these family dinners with my grandbabies. So expect to see more of these printable family dinner nights.

Oh, my goodness. I do dinner and movie night with my single adult son. I should do this with him. He would absolutely get a kick out of it :).
ReplyDeleteGot a question about the glass plate and plastic plate. After gluing and movie night over, do you pull the plates apart and use the glass plate with the next party theme?
Thank you for sharing!
Take care and best wishes,
