Make someone's day with these sweet Thinking of You printable kiss labels. With a bag of sweet chocolate candies and a smile, you can brighten anyone's day.
I'm finally on the slow road to recovery. Yea! It's been a while since I've been down and out so very long. Actually, I'm not sure I have ever been down this long, even after I had my babies.
I think the one thing that kept me going through the rough road, was friends. It was wonderful to have so many people who sent me well wishes and called to brighten my day. I am so grateful for all of you who emailed and sent prayers my way.
I know when someone is having a hard time, just knowing there are others out there who care is a wonderful blessing. I can speak from personal experience now.
So I wanted to share these sweet Thinking of You printable kiss labels. If you know someone who is feeling down, add some of these sweet kisses to a bag and drop them by with a smile.
You'll never know the joy and blessing you bring with you.

Skull Chocolate Covered Caramel Apple
Make fun Skull Chocolate Covered caramel apples this Halloween. Use a regular apple, some easy caramel wraps, and melted white chocolate to make a fun, sweet treat.
Every fall, I start getting yelled at to make Caramel Apples. I don't know if it's the cool crisp air, or the fall festivals reminding us of treats from our youth, or the apples falling from their trees, but it seems to be a craving that hits about this time every year.
Problem is...I don't like caramel.
It makes it very hard to want caramel apples, or to play in the caramel to make treats.
But when I was at Walmart the other day, I found these Caramel Apple wraps (you can find the Concord Caramel Apple Wrap at Amazon too)
. As easy as these looked, I knew I had to at least give them a try.
And they were super easy. The caramel wraps come with 5 sheets to a package and are already cut into circles for you. Each circle just needs to be warmed up in the microwave for 10 seconds on 20 percent power.
Then you can just lay the caramel down over the apples and pull it to fit the edges.
SO EASY!

I was surprised with how easy the whole project was and how fun it turned out! And these shriveled head skull chocolate caramel apples will be a perfect addition to my Witch's Cupboard dessert table for Halloween.
Halloween Joke Miniature Chocolate Wrapper Printables
Give out the "good stuff" this Halloween to your favorite trick or treaters, at your Trunk or Treat party, or to a Halloween classroom party with these fun Halloween jokes on miniature chocolates. These printable candy bar wrappers are easy and will give a laugh to your little Monsters.
Halloween is almost here. You probably have all your decorations up, your kids' costumes are ready, and you have your family fun planned out. But do you have your Trick or Treat candy ready?
Now maybe you are going to just go get a bag of candy from the store. You know, some of that stuff that no one in the house will eat, but it's cheap and the kids won't care. But what happens when you have kids stop by that you know? Or what if you are going to a trunk or treat and want to give some fun candy? Or what about that Halloween party that your kids just told you they need candy for?
Don't worry....I've got your back!
Decorate a bag of Hershey's Miniatures with these fun Halloween joke mini wrappers for the perfect treat. Each candy bar wrapper has a fun joke on the front with the answer on the back. Using cute backgrounds from halefax and clip art from Clikr.com, I made an easy treat that goes together in minutes for your Halloween candy emergencies.
Start by printing out the mini wrappers from above. Right click and save the picture file to your computer. Then go in and print the file on to Card Stock
.
Cut out each individual mini wrapper around the background.
Using a bag of Hershey's Miniatures Assortment
, lay the square with the joke question over the front of the mini wrapper (where it has the name.) Fold over the top area (where the background is) and then fold the bottom area over the bar on top of the folded background top piece. Add a little bit of glue to the back side or a piece of tape and secure the mini candy bar wrapper closed.
What kind of candy do you plan to give out this Halloween? Is it stuff you wouldn't normally have in the house, or the "good stuff" in case you have leftovers?
The Most Addictive Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches EVER
Beat the heat this summer with these addictive Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches. You won't be able to stop eating them and enjoying the rich flavors and cool textures. You can print the Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich recipe here and make these delicious desserts all summer long.
One of the greatest joys of having a house again, is the oven. While living at the hotel was nice and we did have a lot of amenities, we really missed being able to bake. I know we are a little too addicted to sweets, but it's one of the joys in our life and we missed it.
So the other day, we were baking chocolate chip cookies. We love these cookies. I've shared the recipe as a printable at the bottom of the page, if you are looking to try a new chocolate chip cookie recipe, but it's been my experience that most people like their "family recipe" and don't want to try new ones.
I like our recipe because it has oats in it, so the cookie has some texture and interest when you bite in to it. But I know everyone is different.
Anyway, we were making cookies and the Daredevil (my 15 year old son as he's known here) decided we weren't making cookies fast enough. So he dug out the ice cream scoop and proceeded to make cookies that were the size of our fist.
I admit, I was a bit dubious as to how they would turn out, but after a few timing errors, we got the cookie to come out soft, gooey and delicious. While we were eating them, we had to open the milk and get out the ice cream as a celebration.
You can imagine what happened from there. These cookies that are GINORMOUS were turned into ice cream sandwiches.
You're probably thinking, duh. But we had never done that before. Why? Who the heck knows? But I'm slapping myself now, because we are totally addicted to these things. They are like manna from heaven around here. (And so I only managed to get one saved to take pictures of.)
They were super easy to make as you may imagine.
We took our favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe (but I imagine you can use it for just about any cookie type) and used a regular ice cream scoop to dish out 6 mounds of cookie dough on to a cookie sheet. Cook in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
With our recipe, the dough will be set around the edges but slightly mushy in the center. This makes them super soft and as they cool they will set up with no problems.
Allow the cookies to cool and then scoop 1 to 2 scoops of your favorite ice cream flavor on to one of the upside down cookies. Place another cookie on top and mush down enough to secure the cookies and ice cream together.
Now enjoy, and don't blame me if you become completely addicted to these during the summer heat. Especially since it means you don't have to go buy the over priced treats at the store or through the Ice Cream truck. You can enjoy them anytime, even when the kids are asleep as a late night snack!
Here's my Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe, the Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwich Recipe, and a double printable in case you use a 1/2 page recipe binder like I do. (FYI, one of the double recipes is up side down because this allows me to have the white paper edge on the side that I poke the holes through when I bind my recipes. It's just a way to make it a little prettier.)
