Golf Ball Alphabet

I love this golf ball alphabet for making beautiful golf scrapbook pages! This free alphabet has the numbers 1-9 and the capital letters A-Z with a dimpled golf ball background.  How awesome is that for Father's Day scrapbook pages?

Happy Father's Day!

I hope you are enjoying a fun day with the dads in your life.  I'm far away from my dad but enjoying a quite day with the Dear Hubby and kids.  Being new to this area, I'm not sure what we'll do to celebrate, but maybe it will be nice to just enjoy each other's company.

Maybe you'll go do something fun with your dad, like go out to lunch or go golfing.  Be sure to take some great pictures and enjoy the day.  It's sad to think that Dad won't always be around.  I dread that day with everything in me so I'm trying to make and keep the memories that I have.

So I'm scrapbooking all of our fun adventures this year, and all of the little things we get to do together.  With that end, I'm sharing a cute little golf ball alphabet to help you scrapbook your memories today.

This alphabet has the capital letters A through Z, and the numbers 1-9.  Each letter has a dimpled background to look like a golf ball surface.  It's a PNG zip file hosted through dropbox.  To use it, simply click on this Golf Ball Alphabet link and download the file that pops up.  To use the alphabet, you will need to unzip the file and use each letter individually in your scrapbooking.

I hope you are able to use this alphabet and have a great Father's Day with your dad!

2015 Family Scrapbook Album Gift Idea

Keep up with your family memories with a unique and fun scrapbook album that would make a great gift idea for anyone who loves your family. With lots of different techniques and style, this smash memory album will be repeated and enjoyed for years to come.
I find the older I get, the less I remember.  It's both a curse and a blessing in some ways.  I am thrilled that I can't remember all the dumb things I did as a child, but I hate the fact that I can't remember all the fun little things that my kids say and do from day to day.

Since I am working so hard to try and create fun family times with them, I want to be able to remember them.  What's the point of doing 30 days of Family Fun if we don't remember them next week?

To help myself, I created a 2015 family scrapbook.  Then, I turned it into a gift for my parents an in-laws for Christmas.  It was a triple win since they didn't need more junk, they are already wanted to know about what is happening in our lives, and I'm already doing the work for me.

Today I wanted to show you how the 2015 scrapbook turned out so you can start collecting memories and thinking about gifts for this Christmas.

Create a starter page with a picture of your famiy at the beginning of the year. It's fun to compare it year after year and see how the family changes.
I created this scrapbook using a small binder from Walmart.  I love the 6x8 inch size and have used them for a lot of different organization tips in my house.  I also made a ton of different plastic canvas notebook cover patterns.

I am new to scrapbooking, so I used a variety of different styles to try and figure out which I like best.  I ended up with a combination of smash book, projects life, and traditional scrapbooking.

For the first page, we took a family picture in January when we went down to visit my daughter and parent's for Christmas.  Using a short journal card and the picture, it was the perfect way to introduce the year.

Remember all the fun and quirky things that come out of your kids' minds and mouths by texting yourself those quotes when they are said and then adding them to journaling cards to remember always.

Kids say the darndest things and with my kids, we are always laughing around here.  I wanted to remember these moments, so when they happened, I would text myself what was said on my phone.  Then I used a 4x6 inch project life journaling card to print what was said and add it to the scrapbook.

I have to admit that this is one of my favorite parts of the whole scrapbook.  I get to remember the funny moments that pop out of my kids minds and mouths, and our parents get to know our kids a little more and laugh with us.

Use all types of scrapbooking techniques to keep your scrapbook interesting and eye catching.

I used a lot of different techniques to decorate the pages, even when they were just project life page protectors.  I create a lot of printable journaling cards here on the blog, so I used some of them.

I also decorated with an old Dr Seuss book I found at a garage sale when my son was in Seussical: The Musical for school.  It was fun to decorate around the color and fun designs already on the pages.

I even added stickers and paper clips to the pages for a little bit of extra dimension and theme.

Keep up with your family memories with a unique and fun scrapbook album that would make a great gift idea for anyone who loves your family. With lots of different techniques and style, this smash memory album will be repeated and enjoyed for years to come.

I can't tell you how much I LOVE the way this scrapbook turned out, and both of our parents LOVED it also.  It was easy to design up one page, and then just copy it enough for an album for each parent.

What a fun idea this would be if you were having a family reunion too.  Not only are they great Christmas presents, but any season and event would be super fun to do.

How do you keep up with your family memories?

It's another month with so many wonderful memories and things to journal.  I am so excited for all the fun things we have planned this month and can't wait to scrapbook and list all the great things our family is going to do.

It's become a tradition right now to design up journaling cards for the Listers Gotta List challenge and for my scrapbooking friends.  It's a lot of fun to make these and use all my cute clip art and graphics.

This month I only did 30 journaling cards.  They are losely based on The Reset Girl's Listers Gotta List December challenge.  I love doing this challenge on the journaling cards because they look so cute so I can actually focus on completing the lists and not get sidetracked into not doing it because I want my list to look good.

Am I the only one that has that problem?

But I am a huge fan of the clip art that I used for these sets.  I LOVE gingerbread men and the sweet elfs.  These will be so much fun to decorate for Christmas with.

You can download the journal cards with each journal card as a single or as a set of 6 cards per page.  That way you can use them for however you need to.

I had so much fun designing and using Octobers Journaling Cards that I knew I had to do it again for the month of November.  And it seems that you guys liked these cards too since it was one of my number one posts for the month.  I'm so glad to hear that!

Thanksgiving Printable Journaling Cards

For those of you who are doing the Listers Gotta List lists, these are set up to coordinate with the Reset Girl's November Lists.  I tried to leave them sort of vague for those of us who tweek the lists a little, or who go in different directions with the lists.

For those of you who haven't heard of the Listers Gotta List group, you should definitely check it out.  It's a challenge put on by the Reset Girl each month that gives you a daily prompt and you can list your thoughts when you don't have a lot of time to journal.

Fun photo journaling card printables

For those who use these journaling card printables for your scrapbooking or Project Life books, I tried to create a few fun themes among the cards as well.  There are some pictures journaling cards. Some Thanksgiving journaling cards.  And some cards with fun colors to match your spreads.

I've taken to using the cards in my planner to help me keep organized with my Pinterest pinning of each post I write.  It's worked so nice and makes my planner look so cordinated and fun for the holidays.

The ideas of these 3x4 inch cards are pretty endless.  What do you use them for?

This month I made them so you can download them as the whole set of JPG pages with 6 cards per page.  Or you can download the individual cards to imput into your favorite graphics program.  Which ever is easiest for you.
