I hope you are enjoying a fun day with the dads in your life.  I'm far away from my dad but enjoying a quite day with the Dear Hubby and kids.  Being new to this area, I'm not sure what we'll do to celebrate, but maybe it will be nice to just enjoy each other's company.

Maybe you'll go do something fun with your dad, like go out to lunch or go golfing.  Be sure to take some great pictures and enjoy the day.  It's sad to think that Dad won't always be around.  I dread that day with everything in me so I'm trying to make and keep the memories that I have.

So I'm scrapbooking all of our fun adventures this year, and all of the little things we get to do together.  With that end, I'm sharing a cute little golf ball alphabet to help you scrapbook your memories today.

This alphabet has the capital letters A through Z, and the numbers 1-9.  Each letter has a dimpled background to look like a golf ball surface.  It's a PNG zip file hosted through dropbox.  To use it, simply click on this Golf Ball Alphabet link and download the file that pops up.  To use the alphabet, you will need to unzip the file and use each letter individually in your scrapbooking.

Don't Waste It Good Luck Bag Topper Printable

It's been a while since I've done a Team Mom printable project.  The boys had two weekends off due to Spring Break and a Bye, so we are all ready to get back into a game and some Mom Team Treat fun.

While I was away on Spring Break, I visited my parent's candy store and picked up a few specialty treats to share with the boys.  These Don't "Waste" it candy bag toppers are made using the Toxic Waste candies.  You an easily find a bag on Amazon if you aren't lucky enough to live in Texas where The Chocolate Box is located or have a specialty candy store in the area.

The free bag topper printable is found at the bottom of the page and fits a 3x4 inch bag.  You can find these at almost any craft store or here on Amazon.  (Yes, I love Amazon since living in a small town we don't have much of a selection around here.)

The printable reads "Carpe Diem! Don't "Waste It" Good Luck."  It's great for wishing anyone Good luck since it's not sport or theme specific.  It's just telling people to seize the day and make the most of the opportunities around them.

I put 5 of the Toxic Waste candy treats into a 3x4 inch bag.  The bag topper printable was folded at the top of the black box and stapled over the top of the bag to secure the candy treats in the bag.

Soccer Team Party Dessert Table

Sorry for the delay in this post.  I had every intention of getting it posted on Friday, but sometimes as a mom life gets in the way.  Daredevil went snowboarding last weekend and cut his face open and ended up with 6 stitches.  Not fun.  But we finally got the stitches out on Friday and had to go to lunch to celebrate.  Then of course, a million other things happened, so it just didn't get done.

But before I went on to the next party, I wanted to show you the yummy Soccer Team party Dessert table that we had this weekend.

We started with this fun tablecloth that I made from a green dollar tree plastic table cloth.  (I didn't think to take a picture of it until after the party was over.)  I had planned to use white electrical tape to make a soccer field on the front, but couldn't find any, so instead I used white ribbon.  I like how cute it turned out.  (Although doing the circles was a little tricky with ribbon.)

Watching over our Soccer field is the Bleacher Cupcake stand that I shared with you how to make.  The cupcakes are yellow cake with chocolate and white frosting.   Then I wrapped the white frosted cupcakes in our Soccer Ball Cupcake Wrappers.

Above the bleachers, I used our Soccer Field Pennant Banners to spell out "Good Game".  It took me the whole party to realize why the pennants looked just a little off.  Finally I realized that I had forgotten to add a center field line to the background design. So I did fix that, but not in time for the party.

To the right of our Bleachers is the Cookie Bouquet nestled in Hershey drops.  I placed the bouquet on a plastic toy megaphone that I found at Dollar Tree for only a $0.25!

On the left side of the cupcake stand is another Cookie Bouquet.  This one is nestled in Hershey Kisses with our Soccer Ball Kiss stickers on the candies.  Once the cookies are all claimed, the candy inside the bouquet can be eaten with ease.

On the right side of the soccer field, I made brownies with cream cheese frosting push pops.  I was trying for the black and white theme and don't know if I totally achieved the look I was going for, but I was told they were SUPER yummy and my kids at least LOVED the cream cheese with the brownie flavor.

I had a HARD time finding a way to display the push pops on the table since I didn't want to go with Styrofoam or such, so I ended up using a printer laser cartridge box and wrapping it in a black tablecloth from dollar tree.  I couldn't find any black wrapping paper, so this worked best.

Then, I cut holes in the top large enough for the stick to go through, but not the base of the pop.  It worked great!  Twelve of the pops sat perfectly and they were easy to get in and out of the box.

On another printer box wrapped in black, I placed our popular Soccer Ball chocolate covered oreos.

Lastly, I placed white cups that I stamped with black dots onto the soccer field area.  I then filled them with popcorn.  This was an easy task that looked super cute when it was done.  Its also a great way for your kids to help.

When the kids were ready to leave, they recieved these fun Soccer Ball Candy Boxes with M&Ms inside to take home.  The tags say"Thank you for kicking around with me today!"

In the end, we had a fun party and the kids enjoyed the fun crafts and sweet treats.

Bowling Pin Cupcakes Tutorial

I first saw these awesome cupcakes in the cupcake book "Hello! Cupcake"(which I really covet, but didn't buy since I wanted the other one "What's Up Cupcake!" more)

I had to attempt them from memory (since I bought the other book instead), so these Bowling Pin Cupcakes leave a little to be desired. If you want the really great, perfect version, be sure to purchase that cookbook.

If you want a fun, but not so perfect substitute...here's my version of the yummy cupcakes we plan to have at hubby's birthday party tomorrow night.

Bowling Pin Cupcakes

Use your favorite box mix of cake mix to make at least 12 regular sized cupcakes and 12 mini cupcakes.  (I used the rest of the mix to put aside for cake balls...)

Once the cupcakes are cooled, frost the top of the regular sized cupcake and place the smaller cupcake on upside down.

Now frost the bottom of the small cupcake (which should be facing up) and place a small round donut on top.

I used some butter cream frosting that I had left over from the Super Bowl cupcakes that I made (because I'm a cheapy that way--use what you got!) so my cupcakes are yellow.  I would recommend using white if you can because I had the bottom frosting layer show through in the end.

At this point, the cupcakes weren't firm enough to work with, so I put them in the freezer for a few hours and played with my kids and other projects.

After a few hours, I took them out and used a can of white vanilla frosting to frost up the sides of the cupcake to fill in the holes and make the cupcake smooth.  (Not that I did a good job...next time I'll try a little better on that count.)

Then I microwaved a container of vanilla frosting on medium heat for 2 minutes.  (Note to self, take a little out first so when I dip, it doesn't over flow!)  Now dip the cupcake into the melted frosting all the way up to the wrapper.

Be careful to let the excess drip back into the container or else it makes a mess.  (Trust me, if you're not a mess at this point with frosting all over your fingers, then you're baking wrong anyway!)

Now you have 12 white moundy thingy cupcakes.  To turn them into Bowling pins, cut a piece of fruit roll up into strips.  I tried to cut mine to make two smaller rings, but it didn't work very well.

Now wrap the roll up around the top part of the cupcake and WHALA! Bowling Pin Cupcakes!

I'm going to pair these with some Chocolate Covered Oreo Bowling Balls that I made today (while I was waiting for the cupcakes to freeze) and there's my Thank You favor gift!

Let's Bowl!

My husband's birthday is coming up this week.  Although we have many parties at our house, this is the only time of year he really gets a HUGE say in what we do or what the theme is to be.

This year he wants to go Bowling.

So as I get ready for the birthday party at the end of the week, I'm going to be sharing with you all my preparations and sweet treats.   For as I'm find out, it's kind of hard to find new and different Bowling party treats, decorations, and favors for a grown-up Bowling party.
