It's Party Time!
And not just any party time, it's Chocolate Party time. Everything we are sharing today is made from chocolate, has chocolate in it, or is covered in chocolate! YUM!
The backdrop for this Chocolate dessert table is in M&M colored green. I hung one of my Walmart sheets behind the table and draped it with a banner I made from 3 inch circles glued to ribbon. The circles are in the colors of M&Ms to continue with the theme.
I had actually planned to use my cutting machine to cut out the letters Happy Birthday Laurel onto the circles, like little M&Ms, but my machine isn't liking me right now. We are having issues, so I didn't do that part of my plan. (Sigh...nothing ever goes off perfectly.)
I did add blue strips of fabric on each end of the backdrop to tie that color in and hide the edges of the green sheet.
The tablecloth for the dessert table is a large 108 inch red piece of fabric I purchased at Christmas time for a craft show. I love it since it reaches the floor on both sides and allows you to completely hide the table and anything underneath. I used the yellow table runner from my Chocolate Themed Tablescape.
The center of my table has these fun Hershey candy bars wrapped in my new Candy Dots printable set. The bars are 1.5 ounce Hershey candy bars wrapped in a fun candy dots theme that look like M&M candies. You can use with the printable set, or personalize it with your own greeting.
The plate is a charger I purchased from Goodwill and drilled holes in so I could place a ribbon around. I love how I can change the ribbon to match whatever theme I'm working with. In this case, I used a primary colored blue.
On far right of table is a three tierd stand made from silver chargers and upside down soda glasses. The glasses are glued onto the chargers with hot glue so they will be secure, but able to be pried apart after the party to be used again.
On the charger stand are chocolate covered marshmallows dipped in primary colored sprinkles and milk and white chocolate dipped cake pops. The cake pops have colored sprinkles on top to color coordinate also.
In front of the cake pops are my favorite Hershey chocolate mousse cupcakes. If you missed the recipe on them, check it out HERE.
A mix of different chocolate covered oreos are sitting on my M&M cake display stand that I made HERE.
This was my first time ever making M&M covered Chocolate Pretzels. It was an experience. I don't know how the experts do it so they look so nice. I think I'll have to keep trying on these...they didn't turn out too pretty. But they taste wonderful! (Not that I'd know...*grin*)
The pretzels are sitting in clear glasses with M&Ms in the bottom. And behind the pretzels, not that you can see well from this angle, are my Hershey kiss fondue pots from my Chocolate Themed table scape.
I found this candle holder at Goodwill. It was originally an ugly shade of gold, but I spray painted it to match the silver theme and used it to place my candy bowls on. I originally made several Candy Bowls, but didn't like how they turned out, except for the Reeses one. So I stripped the other bowls and used them clear.
On the other side of the table, I have Brownies cut into small bite sized pieces and Chocolate Chip cookies.
Behind these are chocolate covered strawberries on my other M&M cake plate.
Ending the table are the Snickers Cupcakes.
If you missed the recipe printable for these, you can grab it HERE. I'll be honest, I didn't have time to make the frosting on the recipe, so I purchased a can of Carmel Frosting and a can of Chocolate Butter cream frosting from Walmart and used them.
The cupcakes are sitting on a cupcake stand I purchased from Jo-Anns a while ago (with a 50% off coupon.) I dressed them up by adding ribbon in matching colors around each layered edge.
The cupcake were baked in our Blue and white polka dot cupcake liners found HERE.
They were then wrapped with the cupcake wrappers from our Candy Dots party printable set. Then to top them off, I used the 2 inch circles as cupcake toppers and placed the birthday girl's "age", name, and picture on them.
I hope she likes them!
I think the party's going to be lots of chocolate covered goodness!
