When you decide to throw a party- whether its a holiday party, a birthday party, a baby shower, or any other celebration, you put a lot of time and effort into deciding on and carrying out your party's theme. Your very first chance to introduce your guests to your party and get them excited about coming is through the party invitation.

Your very first chance to introduce your guests to your party and get them excited about coming is through the party invitation.

When you are throwing a chocolate party, whether it's for a family chocolate tasting event, a candy land theme birthday party, or a chocolate lovers valentine's party, setting the mood and getting your guests to save the date is pretty important.

Depending upon how fun or elaborate you are planning your candy party will help you decide how to choose your chocolate party invitations.  You don't want to send an expensive invite written on chocolate to a relaxed, fun child's candy land party.  and you don't want to send a cheesy, fun invite to an adult formal wine and chocolate tasting party.

You need to know your guests, the desired atmosphere, and what kind of party you want to have.

If you are looking to have more of a fun, family atmosphere with adults and kids, choosing a laid back invitation can get guests of all ages looking forward to the big day.  Creating an invitation with your favorite candy bars is a great way to invite whole families since everyone can enjoy the invitation treat.

You can also use items such as chocolate lip balm and add a tag line that reads "come enjoy a lip smacking time" with your party details.  This would probably be a better idea for single guests than for families, so the guests doesn't have to share the balm.

Or for extra fun,you can add your party details to stickers on the bottom of Hershey kisses so your guests need to play with the chocolate to assemble the details of the party.  Just be sure to keep all the details on each kiss, such as the time on one label, the date on another,. and your RSVP on another.  It might get super confusing otherwise.

If your guests are all kids you might want to go with a simple pre-purchased invite, create your own invitation with scrapbook supplies in the shape of a kiss or truffle, or use a candy bar with a custom wrapper and informational details.  There are many places online where you can purchase custom candy bar wrappers, especially with the small businesses of Etsy.

You can also make your own candy bar invites using the blank candy bar wrappers in the Weekly candy bar membership club or from the past club's candy bars.

The sky's the limit with your party theme and imagination as your guide.  Choose a great invitation that will help your guests get excited for your chocolate themed party and you'll be amazed at the response you get!
