Can I tell you a secret?
I love to watch the History channel. It's one of my guilty pleasures when no one is around. I love to watch those documentaries on history and science. I saw one a few weeks ago on the Nativity Star.
They talked for an hour on the different theories of what caused the Christmas star. In the end, they had no idea really. I completely believe that God works through laws of science that we know and most likely, ones that we don't know, to complete His miracles. So while it's fun to speculate on the Christmas star, I'm pretty sure it's one of those things that it takes faith and wonder to believe.
And if I were a shepherd in the night, gazing up at the stars, so long ago, the appearance of that great star and the Angels singing of His wondrous birth would truly amaze me.
So the second of the Christmas shepherds in our Nativity Advent Calendar is sharing his poem with Chocolate stars as his gift to your neighbors, class, or friends.
Speaking from a former candy store owner, the Milk Chocolate Stars * may be a little hard to find. If you have a speciality candy store around, you should check them, otherwise, your best bet may be to find them from Amazon here.*
Once you have your chocolate stars, add them to a candy bag and then the printable tag from above, or you can find the whole set for the 12 days here. Use some beautiful ribbon and give your day five gift to your favorite neighbor, your church class, or your friends.
