Enjoy a family movie night while watching Nightmare before Christmas with your favorite villain Oogie Boogie. With simple printables and easy snacks, you'll have the family movie night that's full of treats and fun.
I've been telling you all week that I've never watched Nightmare before Christmas before despite it being my daughter's favorite Halloween show.So she has finally had enough and is going to let me sit and watch it with her.
But of course, I can't go to the movies without snacks.
So we created a quick and easy movie night treat to go along with our Oogie Boogie theme... we have green popcorn, lucky dice, and Ooogie boogie tumblers filled with our favorite drink! To make these movie night treats you'll need:
- Dollar Tree Insert Tumblers
- Oogie Boogie Tumbler Printable
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Red Cardstock
- Dice Printable
- Gummy Worms
- Popcorn
- Green Edible Glitter
I found and purchased four photo tumblers from Dollar Tree. You can
buy them from the website here
or in the glass aisle at your local Dollar Tree.
Unscrew the lid and remove the insert inside.
Print off the Oogie Boogie tumbler printables from the bottom of this
post. Cut around edges.
Roll up and insert inside tumbler. Replace lid.
To create Oogie Boogie's dice, you can
purchase this SVG file from Etsy, or you can use our
free dice box printable here.
Print out on to red card stock. Cut around outside edges. Score
along inside edges. Fold and glue together to form box shape.
Fill with Gummy worms.
For Oogie Boogie popcorn, I just popped up our favorite popcorn and
sprinkled some Edible Green glitter on top.
Super simple and fun--and the glitter didn't affect the taste any so that was
good.
If you want to get more creative, I have a bunch of
popcorn dessert recipes in my pinterest board here. There's a few green recipes, or you can try this
Watermelon Popcorn recipe
and just use a green flavored koolaid.
I was going simple, so
we just added the glitter for fun.
Such a fun way to finally watch and snack through Nightmare before Christmas
for the first time!
Grab the drink printables. I will admit that they aren't the best I've
ever made, but I didn't go back and clean up the edges because I didn't
care. This was a quick, easy and fun movie night with the kids...so it
is what it is.
Enjoy!
