2014 Graduation Subway Art and Dare To Share Blog Hop
Hello friends! Here it is another Saturday morning. Yea!!
I love Saturdays. They are a day spent with my family. Some days we do nothing and just enjoy the day. Other days we spend running to soccer games and track meets. Other days we spend cleaning or shopping. But no matter what we do, it's a day together and I love that.
Because all too soon, graduation will be here and my kids will start spreading their wings to fly.
And enjoy the time we have together.
So this week, we planned and prepared and partied--together.
My co-host for the new Dare to Share party, Pam from Pam's Party and Practical Tips was also partying with her son's 15th birthday. She shared some amazing party details from her son's birthdays, including a Portal Cake from the video game Portal. I admit that I'm drooling over the chocolate and cherries. That's definitely my type of cake! Go check out how she made it.
What did you do this week? I can't wait to see.
Halloween Subway Art Free Printable
I love fun fonts, almost as much as I love Halloween. So when the chance comes to put the two together, I am in Heaven. The Subway art trend is perfect for great Halloween fonts and perfect for my Halloween mantel.
It's such an easy decoration idea too. You can make it in a simple 8x10 frame or you can upsize it to a 20x30 frame perfect for hanging over the fireplace.
Here is the Halloween subway art printable for you to make:
Have fun and enjoy the fonts of the Halloween season!
Shout Out Sunday -- Patriotic Edition
Some great patriotic ideas to help you with your 4th of July parties from fellow bloggers..
Random Thoughts of a SuperMom shared these fun Tin Can Windsocks. I love how simple these are. You can have your kids help you make them with items around the house, so there's not a lot of cost and it's a great summer time activity to do with them. And they make such a great impact blowing in the breeze! I am going to have the kids help me make a few today for hanging on my back porch. So clever!

Room to Inspire shared these yummy and cute Red Vine patriotic treats. We have a huge debate in our Women's group on whether Red Vines or Twizzlers are better (I'm a Twizzler fan myself), but either way you go, these treats would be perfect for a Fireworks viewing party. They are so cute with the blue and white paper and the red treats. Pass these out and then sit back and enjoy the show. Definitely going to make these!
Come Together Kids shared how to make these cool Glow in the Dark Drinks. I CAN NOT wait to make these for the holiday. What's better than a drink that glows? Nothing! And it's alot more simple to make than you would think. This is one of those amazing "Why didn't I think of that" ideas?
Pink Ink Doodles shared her 4th of July Printable. I LOVE subway art...it's a simple, fun, easy way to decorate for any occasion. And I have LOTS of fun fonts, so what better way to use and show them off than a cute printable? Kalie did a great job on this one and it will be a great addition to my patriotic mantel.
No Biggie shared her 4th of July printable which would be perfect for a party favor! I keep looking at this trying to figure out what it is exactly that I love so much about it...I don't know. I just Love it ALL. I like how it's 3 dimensional and not static. I love the bright colors. (I'm a sucker for bright colors.) And the mix of stars and stripes in such patterns just makes me smile.
Snow Winter Subway Art Free Printable
I have COMPLETELY fallen in love with the new trend of Subway art. What a fun, unique "artsy" way to decorate.
So I had to make some Winter Snow subway art for my "Let It Snow" winter party. This will sit so beautifully on the table with all my snowman decorations and bring in a nice touch to the room.
And now, I'm sharing my creation with you! I can't wait to hear how you use this in your winter decorating!

UPDATE: I just had to share the results of how this turned out! Isn't it cute? You can't tell but the snowflakes in the corners have a sparkle glitter on them that really shines in the light beautifully.
LOOOOOVVVVE it!
