Hugs and Kisses Candy Jar

I love finding fun, yummy candy gifts to give out for Valentine's.  (Okay, for just about any day.)  So when I saw this Valentine's Hugs and Kisses Candy Jar by Lil' Luna, I knew I was going to need to make one for my teens.  I already made a Valentine Countdown Calendar for my younger two, and I'm working on a (more in depth) Valentine Countdown for Dear Hubby, so this was going to be perfect for Drama Queen and the Perfectionist.

I started by finding a Kerr pint mason jar.  I like the Kerr brand best because it's clear on all sides with only the writing showing in one area.  Then I went to Lil' Luna and printed out her free printable.  I did resize it to be 2 1/4 inches by 3 inches so it would fit over the Kerr writing.  Then I used my Xyron to make it into a sticker and placed it on the jar.

The jar fit 55 Hershey kisses and Hershey hugs.  I didn't have any Valentine colors available so instead went with the different flavors of kisses.  There are Air Delights, Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Caramel, Cherry, and Cookies and Cream kisses.  Plus a good handful of Hershey hugs.

To make it a little more fun, I added our Conversation Heart Kiss Sticker Printable  to the kisses.  My daughter will LOVE the fun sayings on these while enjoying the chocolate instead of the powder of regular Conversation hearts.

I finished it off by cutting a circle of red fabric and tying on a red bow to spice it up.  I think both kids are going to love these and I am super excited to have Lil' Luna share this great printable.  Run over there and grab it yourself HERE and go make a little sweet gift for your loved ones!  (And tell her I said "HI!")

Football Party Favors Printable

Make your own football party favors with this free printable that fits around a small Tomato sauce can.  Print, cut, paste, and fill with your favorite treats for a great favor for any football fan.

It seems I have been bitten by the football and printable bug this week and am turning everything into footballs. I made the Football Windsocks and the Football Party Treats.  Now I'm making my party favors into footballs filled with Hershey Miniatures dressed in team jerseys.    How fun is that?  I just love how they've turned out and so I'm sharing the printable with you.

To make these I used a cleaned out Tomato Sauce can.  It's just the right size for a little party favor.  I printed out the Football Party Printable (at the bottom of the page), cut, and glued it around the can.

Then I dressed up these Hershey Miniatures in Football Jersey candy bar wrappers. 

And added them to the can for a fun party favor.

Turned out pretty cute didn't they?  And super easy!  I hope you'll show me if you make a few yourself!

Denver Bronco Logo Decorative Plate DIY

Make your own NFL Denver Bronco Logo plates with a few minutes of time and some Sharpie paint pens.  You'll be the MVP of your football party.  This quick and easy plate DIY is fun and unique and gives you a Bronco logo to be proud of.

It's been a while since I made any new decorative plates for a party, but when I started working on our Bronco football party, I knew I needed to add some to the dessert table to add some sweet flair.

But since I have absolutely NO artistic ability at all, I was worried how to make the bronco logo look realistic and cool.  If you have a silhouette or cutting machine, this would be super easy, but since I am one of the few crafters left that doesn't have one, this is an old fashioned way to make the Bronco logo decorative plate.

I started by finding the Broncos logo on the web.  I had to measure my plate to see how big to make the logo.  I printed out the bronco head to be about 6 inches by 3 1/2 inches.  Then I cut it out to use as a template.

I used the bronco logo as a template to trace around in the center of my plate using Sharpie Paint Markers.

After I had the base done, I went back and cut up my logo into pieces with the center lines and the horse's mane so I could trace them.  I did freestyle the eyes, ear, and nose since they weren't too difficult.

I finished by coloring in the orange and going back around the outline to make it thicker.  Then, I baked the plate at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Now I have a pretty cool and unique serving plate for my Denver Bronco tailgate party!
