Angry Bird Pennant Banner Printable
Celebrate the Angry Birds this summer with this free printable pennant banner. These five birds and one pig will have your home squaking with loads of fun at your next Angry birds party.
With the new Angry Bird's movie out this summer, there has been a resurgence in the Angry bird fun. That means lots of Angry Bird birthday parties and new projects to have fun with this summer.
With all the angry bird projects I made, I never created a pennant banner to decorate with for my party. So I decided to kick off this year's 30 days of summer free printables with a free banner to help you decorate at your next Angry Bird party.
These pennants each measure 4 inches by 6 inches and there are six of them on a page. Simply save the two jpg pictures below by right clicking on each one of them. Then print them out on to cardstock and cut them out. Then you can tape ribbon to the back of them or punch holes in the sides so they are easy to hang with a piece of string or ribbon.
There are six banners in all including the Red Bird, the Blue Bird, the Black Bird, the White Bird, the Yellow Bird, and a Green Pig.

Angry Bird Party Dessert Table
The games are set, the food is almost ready, and the decorations are up. I'm getting super excited for our Angry Birds birthday party tonight, but I wanted to share a peek of the dessert table with you first.
I started using a blue backdrop which is actually a fitted sheet from Walmart. (You can't beat the price of $5.00 for a table cloth!) I used a green sheet as the table cloth. This allowed me to "copy" the Angry Bird background in the game for my dessert table.
The center of my table has a wooden Pig House filled with our Pig Pistachio Pudding Desserts. My son had to add his Red Angry bird in their so the pigs would be "scared and know who was boss."
In front of them are some Gatorade drink bottles wrapped with a polka dot wrapper. The wrappers say "Happy Birthday" in our Angry Bird font. (We shared where to get that HERE.)
To the left, I have the Angry Bird whirlypop lollipops.
In front of the lollipops are the Angry Bird cupcakes that the boys and I made. (I can't believe they have lasted until today...they ask me EVERYDAY when they can have them!)
Next to the cupcakes are a play on our Angry Bird poop printable that has just been SO popular. (Thank you everyone who has shared this!) I filled a bowl with M&Ms and labeled them "Bird Poop" using our Angry Bird Table Cards free printable.
To the right of our Pig House are these new Candy Cones in the Angry Bird shapes. I filled these with Angry Bird fruit snacks that I found at Walmart.
I made some of our Polka Dot chocolate covered oreos for the party. (I just realized that the kids have already started sneaking these. Good thing I have several more in the kitchen.)
To mirror our Bird Poop, I have Bird Kisses. These are Hershey kisses with small stickers on the bottoms.
It's a small dessert table, but I think we'll be busy with some of the fun games and activities we have planned. The boys can't wait to play with the Can Game we designed. It's become THE game this week. My boys have actually been putting the cans inside the pig house and throwing their Red plush bird at the house while trying to knock the pigs out of it.
The party should be lots of fun and I can't wait to eat those Pigs!
Angry Bird Pig House Display
I've spent much of the day (after hubby went to work...am I the only one who gets nothing done when their husband is home?) working on the final projects for my Angry Bird party tomorrow.
It's probably going to be a long night as I finish some of the food and pull everything together, but I did get this Pig House display done at least.
Apparently wood working is NOT one of my talents, so be kind and use your imagination!
It's going to be the home of my Angry Bird pig desserts if all goes well.

Angry Bird Cupcakes
Since today is my birthday, I thought I would celebrate with a little cake...a cupcake to be exact.
I've seen alot of cute Angry Bird cupcake designs around the web and while mine may not be as cute as some of those, I'm sure they taste MUCH better.
If you've been around my blog a little, you may have heard that I don't like fondant...at all. And I don't know many kids who do either. So when I'm trying to come up with fun, theme cupcakes, I try to find a way to make them using real frosting and yummy treats.
So when I saw Bacon Time with the Hungry Hypo's cupcake design, I knew I'd found a winner.
My boys and I made the red Angry bird
the yellow Angry bird
the blue Angry bird
and even a few Mutant birds (but I'm sure they are pretty mad too!)
But they were easy and fun to make.
We started by baking a batch of cupcakes. As much as I would LOVE to try some Cherry Limeade cupcakes, I didn't think the kids would be too thrilled with those, so they are a simple, yummy yellow cake.
Then we died our frosting red, yellow, and blue. I used little bowls so it would help keep the boys a little more in check.
(Not sure it worked.)
Then we frosted each of the cupcakes and used candy to make the faces. (I forgot to add the licorice to the picture, so imagine I didn't eat it all and it's there.)
We took apart the Mini oreos and used them for eyes,
then added M&Ms as pupils using a little extra frosting.
I cut the orange slices up to use as a beak and the licorice in pieces and then in half for the eyebrows.
We tried using peanut M&Ms for the bird's hair piece, but I liked using the slices better in the end.
We had a good time making our Angry Bird cupcakes and in the end we had some fun cupcakes for our party, a good time together, and a few baths!
Angry Bird Can Game
I've seen some really fun games out there for an Angry Bird party lately. I love how moms and dads have taken the actual game and pulled it out of the digital world. I'm sure party guests will love to slingshot their own birds at those naughty pigs in games like Simply Styled Home and Brassy Apple have made.
I was a little worried when I was brainstorming ideas for my own games with weather issues (it is the middle of January after all) and having my kids start playing with slings shots (a whole host of problems with that one.)
So instead I made an easy can game, and in testing it out, my boys love it!
I was afraid of my boys tossing balls in our new house (we've had broken window accidents a plenty), so I made some yarn balls in the angry bird colors for the boys to toss. They thought that was pretty awesome and those balls went EVERYWHERE. (If you go this route, be sure to make your yarn balls really tight or you'll end up re wrapping them, ALOT.)
If you get a heavier ball, you can also use these printables as a fun bowling game.
They are simple to make using some empty soup cans (I used chicken noodle and tomato soup), cardstock, and a printer.

Angry Bird's Pig Dessert Treat
Normally, pig is not my favorite thing to eat. Really.
Don't tell anyone but I really don't care for bacon (unless its cooked perfectly, and that's REALLY hard.) I know, gasp...but it's not my favorite thing.
But these fun Angry Bird pig desserts are definitely on my list of desserts I can't wait to eat!
They turned out too cute not to want to eat them!
And they really were pretty easy to make.
I started with these votive candle holders from Walmart. They were the smaller size, so they were only 0.60 each. I cleaned them out pretty good.
I used my hole punches to punch out 2 3/4 inch size circles and 1 one inch oval.
I added a LITTLE dab of glue from my glue gun to make sure the placement of the eyes and nose were even and looked semi decent. (The templates came off very easy once I was done with them.)
Using a thin dry erase marker, I outlined the templates so I'd know where to paint. Then I painted the eyes white and used a sharpie to outline the eyes and the nose. Finished the face up by adding nose holes and eye balls with black paint.
Then I tried adding some green Jelly Belly's but I think they were too dark. If you like the lighter colored green beans, that would look great, or if you can find the green colored M&Ms add them to your Angry Bird Pig.
I like Pistachio pudding much better and it is the right shade of green, so I used that for my party dessert instead.
I can't wait to add it to the fun display I have planned to show you next week. Or maybe I'll just eat it in the meantime...
Angry Bird iPhone Inviation
Trying to make fun and unique invitations is sometimes pretty hard. After all, how many different ways can you say the same things? Probably a lot, but when you are throwing all your energy into the party details, sometimes it's easy to draw a bank when it comes to the invitations.

Ways to use Stickers at a Party
One of the cheap and easy ways to decorate at a party is to use stickers. You can find them at almost any store and in many different themes, so they are pretty accessable. With a little imagination, you can use them to decorate and bring your theme to life.
Here are a few ways I plan to use our Angry Bird stickers at the party next week:
On Hershey Kisses as a treat
On Invitation or Thank You notes
On Treat Bags
On Whirlypops as party favors
On kids as name badges
I'm sure there are LOTS more ways you can use them....just use your imagination for a little bit of fun!
Angry Bird Poop Printable
I guess I've been on a candy topper printable roll lately. There are so many fun ways to use these and fun ways to share them. So of course, I had to make some for my Angry Birds birthday party.
The idea for this printable came to me about 3:00 AM one night last week. The poem just flowed out of my crazy, tired brain. I ran it by my boys and they LOVED it. So I'm hoping a party full of adolescent boys and girls will also enjoy these fun candy favors.
The poem reads:
You've stolen our eggs
To that level you'll stoop
So be very careful or next
We'll throw some Angry Bird Poop!
The printable comes in the same format as our popular Elf Kisses Printable. I've made it easy for you to print if you have a borderless or a bordered printer. You can print it to top a 3x4 inch bag (available at Walmart in the craft section or any other craft store), as a tag to tie to a bag of candy, or as a topper for a ziplock sandwich bag.
Add this topper or tag printable to a bag of colored M&M Candies
or Skittles
for a fun candy poop. The colors of the M&M Candies will (mostly) match the colors of the angry birds and so will really up the fun factor of your party.
