This is a post from my other website The Treasured Bookshelf.  I wanted to share this amazing subscription box since it's one of my favorites.  I hope to be able to share a lot more styles and fun since subscription boxes make such great birthday gifts for everyone on your list.

Don't you just love subscription boxes? I have really taken to them lately. I love the surprise, the cool products, and the excitement of waiting for a new box to come each month.

I stumbled across the Fandom of the Month club subscription box six months ago on Instagram.  It was the first subscription box that I had ever tried and I signed up "just to see" how it went

Six months later, I'm still hooked and purchasing it every month with my own money.

January 2016 Fandom of the Month Club Subscription Box

Each month of the Fandom of the Month club, you receive 3-4 pieces of Jewelry, a postcard, a magnet, all in a screen printed drawstring bag.  All the items have a fun fandom theme which is a surprise.  In past bags, I've received Mario themed items, Star Wars themed items, and Percy Jackson themed items for example.

This month's theme was Harry Potter.  (Squeel of Delight!)

Harry Potter Drawstring BAg

Fandom of the Month Club boxes are shipped out the last week of the month.  I think I noticed they were shipped on Monday, and my kids came bouncing in with the box on Wednesday afternoon.  (They love this box just as much as I do and always gather around so they can call "dibs" on anything super cool.)

The items come in a fun Fandom of the Month printed box.  I love these boxes and have started using them in my craft room to keep some of the little items organized and together.  Plus, the owl design is super cute and fun.

Inside the box, the jewelry items are placed inside the drawstring bag.  Each month, the bag has a saying printed on it that has to do with this month's theme.  This bag says "We've all got both Light and Dark Inside Us" and has a sugar skull type mask on the side.

I haven't figured out quite how to use these bags yet.  I've got one in my purse carrying around my make up but the rest are just sitting in a drawer waiting for a use.  Anyone got any ideas?

Harry Potter Horcrux Charm Bracelet

Inside my bag, I found this awesome Horcrux Charm Bracelet.  It has little hanging pendants of each of the horcruxes that Harry and Dumbledore had to find and destroy to defeat Voldemort.  The charms have instricut detail and are well made.

Harry Potter Wizard Compact Mirror

We also received this beautiful compact mirror in the subscription box.  It has the saying "Have You Seen This Wizard?" on the front and has double mirrors on the inside.  I saw this for a whole 2 seconds before my 11 year old grabbed it and claimed it.  I think it would be great to have in my purse to carrying around to check hair and makeup while on the go, but I'm not sure I'm going to ever get it back in the end.

I did see that some subscribers received some earrings in their box too.  I didn't get any, and this is the first time that anything has ever been missing (that I could tell from the Instagram unboxing photos.)  I'm not too upset since I rarely ever wear earrings and some times the earrings can be a bit much for my taste.

Harry Potter Subscription Box at Fandom of the Month Club

The box also contained a small magnet with a picture of Bellatrix LeStrange on the front.  The artwork is really cool and decorates my refrigerator to make me smile as I enjoy all the different fandom characters in my home.

Lastly, each box comes with a postcard with a note from the Fandom of the Month creators on the back.  This month had the Death Eaters symbol in the background.

What a great gift idea! Subscription boxes are a way to keep the fun going all year long if you give one for a birthday gift or Christmas gift. The Fandom of the Month Club subscription box is one of my favorites with beautiful jewelry and fun items with all your most loved fan favorites!

The box is a great price.  It's only $13.00 with $3.95 shipping in the US and $9.95 shipping internationally.  I have been subscribing for 6 months now and don't see any plans to stop in the future.

If you are a fan girl (or guy), I would recommend checking out the Fandom of the Month Club.  You can follow them on Instagram and on Facebook for sneak peeks, unboxing reposts, and more.

If you want to check out your own box of Fandom Delight, you can sign up for the Fandom of the Month club hereFandom of the Month Club Subscription Box.

3 Apple Recipes and Dare to Share Saturday

The kids are back in school now, football is on TV, and there seems to be cracks in the summer heat wave...so fall must be on it's way.

    YEA!

I think fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the color changes, the crisp air, Friday night football at the local schools, and Halloween.

It's so much fun to find a local hay ride and have a sip or two of hot apple cider.  I am wondering if South Carolina will indulge me here or if we'll have to find some new fall traditions.  What kind of things are on your fall bucket list?

While pumpkin seems to reign supreme in the fall months, apples are showing their colors too.  I hope that you'll consider some of these yummy looking apple recipes from last week's Dare to Share Saturday.

While we are all shouting and excited that school and fall is here, do an extra shout for my friend and co-host Pam from Pam's Party and Practical Tips.  She was featured this week on People Online.  How cool is that?
    http://www.pamspartyandpracticaltips.com/2016/08/pokemon-go-desserts.html

We first met when I discovered her Pokémon Party years ago and fell in love with her party style.  Seems like People has too.  They shared her Pokeball Rice Krispie Treats on their 10 Pokémon Go Themed Desserts.

I can't wait to see what you've been up to this week!

    Back to Hogwarts Book Wreath

Go back to school with all your textbooks and necessities with this Hogwarts book wreath!  This wreath would be a great addition to any Harry Potter party as it's magically easy to put together and so much fun too.

Run to Diagon Alley, grab your Hogwarts text books, and prepare your wand for another year back to school.

We have been preparing for our annual Back to School party here for the past few weeks and are almost ready to show you the Harry Potter themed dinner party.  But first I needed to share with you our front door wreath in all it's textbook glory.

When I first had the idea for making our party theme Back to Hogwarts this year, the idea for a wreath made from the Hogwarts textbooks came to mind.  I've been playing around with it for three weeks now and it never quite came together like it did in my head.  (Don't you just hate that?)

I had given up on the idea, until I was hit with inspiration in the middle of the night.  (Isn't that always how it is?)

I decided to simplify the book wreath and to make it lighter so I could fit all the textbooks every Hogwarts student needs right on the door for everyone to see.

And I do love how it turned out!  What do you think?

Go back to school with all your textbooks and necessities with this Hogwarts book wreath!  This wreath would be a great addition to any Harry Potter party as it's magically easy to put together and so much fun too.

And after all the fun, it really was super simple to make.

Since the wreath was going to have so many layers to it, I didn't want a bulky, round wreath.  Instead, I took one of the cardboard boxes from our move and a large kitchen bowl.  I drew a circle and cut that out and then drew a circle inside that using a smaller kitchen bowl.

I used a roll of large Christmas ribbon I had leftover and wrapped it around the wreath form to hide the cardboard and give the wreath the Gryffindor colors.

I think that deciding what size to make the textbooks was the hardest part of the whole project.  I ended up cutting a large sheet of Styrofoam into 2 inch by 3 inch rectangles.

Once I knew what size I wanted my books to be, I went over to Pinterest and searched up some printable Harry Potter textbook covers.  There are a lot there, so you can pick and choose which ones you want.

I saved the covers, resized them to fit my pages, and then printed them out.  The paper glued pretty easily around the Styrofoam pages to create the Hogwarts textbooks.

Didn't they turn out so cool?  I am totally in love!  Thanks to all the talented artists who shared the talents in making these book covers.

I really recommend laying out the books on the wreath to make sure they fit nicely and the color placement looks good before glueing them to the wreath form.  Once you have it looking good, go ahead and glue the books down.

To make the wreath a little more fun, I created little pennant banners with the words "Hogwarts Bound" in a Harry Potter font.  I glued the pennant pieces to some red and gold ribbon in the center of my wreath.

Go back to school with all your textbooks and necessities with this Hogwarts book wreath!  This wreath would be a great addition to any Harry Potter party as it's magically easy to put together and so much fun too.

Now my Harry Potter wreath is hanging on my front door making my kids' return to school a little more magical and fun as they can pretend we are off to Hogwarts!

3 Cookie Recipes and Dare to Share Saturday

School started for my boys this week.  It has taken us all week to finally be able to get into a routine with our mornings, getting out the door, getting home, homework, dinner, and bedtimes.  Yikes.

Now that we've survived the first week, I want to celebrate by getting back into our Cookie Friday family tradition.

We love to bake cookies on Friday afternoon after the kids get home from school.  This allows me to hear all about their day as well as kicking off the weekend with some fun and family time.

This year, I'd like to try making new cookie recipes each week.  This will allow us to get though our Pinterest recipes to see if there are any true gems in there as well as allow the kids to see that "new" recipes aren't all bad.  (Are my kids the only ones that hate to try new things? Yikes.)

I'm glad that you guys had so many great recipes to share at last week's Dare to Share Saturday.  Here are 3 new cookie recipes that I'm going to add to my Cookie Recipe board and give a try with the kids.

Crunch Berry Snack Bars by Delightful E Made

Mint Chocolate Frozen Yogurt S'mores by The Bitter Side of Sweet

For now, we are going to enjoy the fact that school is over for the week.  We'll enjoy our weekend (despite having to teach my Marriage class) and even celebrate with a Harry Potter Back to Hogwarts party.

I hope you have a great weekend too.  In the meantime, I can't wait to see what you've been up to!

If you are looking for a good book to read, check out these books.  I have added them to my TBR list on my Kindle so I can read while I'm in the carpool line or hiding in my room after the kids go to bed.

Let me know if you've read any of these before.  Or if you know of any other good books to enjoy.  I'm always on the lookout for new books.  Are you?

Not-quite-sixteen year old Lizbet Moore expects a boring last month of summer vacation -- and she gets what she’s expecting until a fifteen hundred year old Fae named Eamon shows up in her backyard disguised as a down-on-his-luck garden gnome. When Eamon slips an ancient amulet around her neck, the memories of Lizbet’s many past lives, including her first life as Morgan Le Fae, come slamming back to her to change her summer plans in a way she could never have expected. Forced to go on the run when murderous monks show up at the back door, Lizbet hops a plane to Scotland accompanied by Eamon, the whispering voices of her past lives, and geekily cute James, the college boy from next door. Not only does she have to dodge the monks, but she’s racing against time and greedy land developers to prevent the entire race of the Fae from being destroyed. The only thing Lizbet knows for sure is that if she fails and can't produce a few live fairies at the end of her journey, she is going to be grounded for life...and probably for her next life, too.

3 Organization Ideas for Back to School and Dare to Share Saturday

School starts for us on Monday.

    Hooray!!

With all the craziness of this summer and the move, I am so ready for the kids to get out and make new friends and start school again.

Mini Me is super excited, but The Perfectionist is fighting it every step of the way.

Me, I'm celebrating all the way to the bus stop.

While they are gone, I plan to finally finish the last of the unpacking and get things organized around here.  So it was super nice to be able to see all the great organization ideas you guys shared at last week's Dare to Share Saturday.

If you can't make it to the blog for all the fun, be sure to sign up for our Email newsletter to have it all delivered to your inbox every Saturday afternoon, as well as free printables and party ideas.
